Leaked ROBOCOP Merchandise Offers First Official Promotional Art

Leaked images of the upcoming action figures for Jose Padilha's RoboCop not only show off official promotional artwork, but also complete looks at all 3 robotic armor's Alex Murphy will be wearing during the film!

Spanish Toy Collectible website KanpekiSetto have possibly leaked these new images of 2014's RoboCop. The first image details all three suits that Joel Kinnaman's Alex Murphy will wear throughout the movie and matches descriptions of the suits in the leaked script (the first being an homage to the original, the second being an olive green repaint of it.) In additional photos, we also see RoboCop's new motorcycle, however for these toys, it has more white on it and the word POLICE, which weren't present on the motorcycle in set photos.

It's really unknown whether or not these toys are concepts or not, considering they are orderable at the source with a release date April 2014. They also note that the figures were created by Jada Toys. Regardless, these toys' boxart provides the first look at official RoboCop promotional stills and artwork which we should be seeing in the next few weeks as the trailer is confirmed to appear next to Elysium.

My gosh that looks beyond terrible, so they are making Robocop just some guy in a generic black robotic suit. The one open hand concept looks ridiculous too. The least I can say is that they have the concept of the helmet/visor right but everything else about it looks generic. Even the Accelerator Suits from G.I.Joe were better designed than this.

O_o but but wtf...no this is a joke right...no..no no no. WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING TO ROBOCOP! Doesn't that defeat the purpose of calling him Robocop?? Robocop is a machine a robot, a cybernetic android. What are they doing!? How can they screw up a concept so simple. Why are they trying so hard to make Robocop closer to a human being. It has been done in the original films but in a minimal way which doesn't distract from what the character is.

The first design looks better from the concept, this is the only thing I can think of seeing the final concept...

This is like Terminator Salvation when they took a R rated franchise and make it kid friendly to sell toys that will be in the clearance bin before the DVD comes out.

His suit still looks a bit plastic and rubbery in the promo art, thought this would show any CGI enhancements to the set photos

Robocop might have been a R rated movie back in the day but if that movie was released today it probably get a PG-13 rating nuff said!

The original Robocop would still be rated R today. The was plenty of blood and uses of the F word to warrent a R rating.
