In a recent interview with MTV News, the star of the upcoming epic known as Man of Steel thanks the fan-boys and girls, who are willingly giving the movie a shot.

Just in case you lads can't see the vid, I copied the transcript for ya. =)

"I think the best part has been recently when people have sort of seen all the work that has gone into it," Cavill said of the fan reactions to his Man of Steel. "I think I won a lot of people over, and I felt the support really come behind me, which is a really good feeling, because when you're doing this all for [the fans], telling a story for them ... you want to do it justice."

"It's wonderful to have all the people online going, 'This is great, this is amazing, I can't wait, thank goodness it's him.' It's wonderful, so thank you to everyone out there," he added, speaking to camera. "I do appreciate it."

There it is, my man Henry Cavill thanks ME (okay me and all the other fans) for giving him love. Know that we thank you too Henny, for the epicness that we are about to receive.

Seems like a very humble, down to earth kind of guy. Nice to see someone that appreciates the positive feedback from fans. He's come a long way since playing Jim Caviezel's son in the Count of Monte Cristo!

@Catoman1 - I'm not even gay and I think I wanna screw him.

Seriously though, he's definitely looks like a Superman, and since Supes has no personality, as long as he has the acting skills of a toaster he should do fine.

Cool! He'll be a great Superman. Snyder will do well in this one, I'm feeling.

MrReese - When I see these images I always think batman is [frick]ing people. And I'm not a freak, lol.

henry seems to be an actual superMAN but im worried about snyder

i hope by what he says "doing it justice" doesnt mean completely redoing the character to the point were you lose who he is just for a good story .

grayfox117 - I have the same opinion. World's Finest would do. Because if they try to stash a JL movie at once without presenting the characters either one of the two below is probably happen:

1 - It will suck because there will be no time to explain every character (like x-men, looking back it's what happened)

2 - They will go straight to the action and most people will not understand the movie, and it will fail with the public and/or critic.

So... World's finest is a must happen!

Actually, i remember a LOT of people not being too certain of Reynolds when he got the gig, and for good reason too. This time however, it's different. CAVILL OWNS!!! And if the movie turns out to be shit, it won't be because of Snyder's awesome action or Cavill's awesome performance as the man of steel. It'll be because of a shitty script from Goyer/whoever else touched it.

0TheQuestion0 - As I said before if I was a WB executive I would DEMAND a scene, even if it's after credits, of Cavill's MOS in TDKR.

That would be genious!

I work for an agnecy that does promotions for a lot of big block busters.

I got the inside scoop recently on the details of this film and I have to say, it shouls impress.

I won't say anything else other than that a sizable portion of the movie will take place on Krypton :)

@Intruder

People also liked Chris Evans as Captain America and Chris Hemsworth as Thor.
I recall Marvel made a lot of use of shirtless shots of those guys to sell their movies,so I have no problem if WB/DC does the same.Green Lantern failed for a number of reasons (jacked up script, cost over runs on special effects, rushed post production) but Ryan Reynolds is not the top reason.(GL should have gone to Bradley Cooper)Henry Cavill has the look of Superman and is saying all the right things.Man of Steel is gonna be the superhero epic of 2013.

c'mon people you can't say how much you wanna *** Cavill and how you'd like to hit that and say "I'm not gay but..." I mean, that's totally gay. And it's OK, nobody's gonna give you a hard time or anything, but seriously get out of that closet already!

This guy is Superman. In his interviews he speaks very well and seems to understand the character on a deep level. And on top of that he's a class act. You can just tell he really cares about the role and wants to do the character justice for the fans.

I can't wait to see his interpretation of Superman. 2013 can't come soon enough.
Tainted87
Tainted87 - 11/1/2011, 9:15 PM
I'm really starting to like this guy.
Man of Steel is going to redefine Superman in the eyes of the general population that doesn't read comics. If you're under 30, chances are your parents really only know Superman as the extremely silver age Christopher Reeves who more or less heralded the superhero movie genre.
This is going to be epic.

As if I couldn't dig this guy more.

Well done, Superman.
