Then a report came out via Variety that revealed that RDJ will most likely earn the same amount he earned for Avengers: Age of Ultron for Captain America: Civil War, if not more! With that said, we all know that Robert Downey Jr. is highest paid man in the MCU! In fact, he was labeled as the highest paid actor by Forbes for the past two years!

Anyhow, what did the rest of the cast receive for their role in the Avengers sequel? Take a look at the chart, then sound off below in the comment section with your thoughts!

Scarlett Johansson  $20 million
Robert Downey Jr.  $40 million

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure. Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision. Written and directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” published in 1963. Get set for an action-packed thrill ride when The Avengers return in Avengers: Age of Ultron May 1, 2015.

20 million? Guess we'll definitely not have a Black Widow movie then.

Plus ScarJo was pregnant and couldn't even shoot half her scenes.

When will the disparity end so men can earn equal pay as their female counterparts?
TheMadman
TheMadman - 11/5/2015, 7:44 AM
What I don't understand is how Ruffalo and Renner made each other's pay--seriously, I get that Hawkeye had a much bigger role, but Ruffalo got paid the least and he was the one who had to play two characters, one in mo-cap!
TheMadman
TheMadman - 11/5/2015, 7:45 AM
This does show improvement from the last movie though, I don't remember who, but I remember RDJ made 80 million while someone else only made 200k
PsychoticSpaceRaccoon
PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - 11/5/2015, 7:58 AM
That is criminal.

The main four should all be getting at least $10, RDJ's inflated salary aside. Scarjo and Renner should be getting at least $6-8 million, so they're covered.

You going to do Ruffalo like that, Marvel?
PsychoticSpaceRaccoon
PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - 11/5/2015, 8:05 AM
Before you women-hating asshats get your underwear in a knot, remember that Scarjo probably has a much better contract than the other actors, especially Ruffalo, who only entered the MCU in 2012.

Plus actors/actresses get paid on a scale that equals their last movie, which means Scarjo is probably making $15-20 million per movie now. She can't/won't go under that. This stipulation is probably in her contract.

It's not "feminism" you drooling idiots.

@MexicanSuperman

Yeah, because a list of what six Hollywood actors made on a billion dollar movie somehow disproves the gendered wage gap.

Do you hear yourself?

DeusExSponge - 11/5/2015, 8:39 AM
Wow, I thought Evans would get a bit more. Then again, 6.9 million isn't something to laugh about.

How did Renner and Johansson earn more than Hemsworth? The Thor hate is real.
Matador
Matador - 11/5/2015, 9:05 AM
Yeah they made that money for working for a whole year so they only get paid until after they make the movie. For one whole year they don't see a dime.
That kinda sucks for Mark know wonder some actors try to make more movies one after another.

So ScarJo gets paid 20 mil for getting pregnant, nearly [frick]ing the production up and then not even attempting to give a good performance.
HiFi

lol at people mad at how much money ScaJo is making.

You seem to forget she's one of the biggest stars in the cast, definitely a bigger draw to the audience than Evans and Hemsworth (and I love both just as much). It's about star power in this case.

Besides, I actually do love her Black Widow, so good for her!
