Superman's suit is actually a Kryptonian environmental suit that appears to be used to help navigate the Kryptonian vessels which are actually alive.

The Phantom Zone projector is located in Krypton's orbit.

The Black Zero, a prison barge, is the ship that takes the criminals to the Phantom Zone, located in subspace.

Krypton's explosion causes Zod to be able to take control of Black Zero and becomes his flagship.

The Black Zero also has a squadron of drones associated with it - smaller ships.

Zod mentally torments Superman, as seen with the recent skulls image enveloping Superman from the latest trailer, which is said to be a dream sequence.

Superman as a tyrant is part of the dream sequence with the Man of Steel in an all black version of the suit, as Zod is in essence tempting him like the Devil.

It's said that as comic fans you want to see a flying fist-fight scene.

We learn more about the Fortress of Solitude, which we learned the origin for in the Man of Steel prequel comic book. It's organic; full of Kryptonian artifacts; environmental skinsuits which becomes Superman's costume; powers up after 18,000 years; bursts from the ice to land in a mountaintop.

Zod is sentenced to 300 years of reconditioning in the Phantom Zone.

Kyrptonians gave up space travel; they put together Black Zero through spare parts, sort of "hot wired it."

We learn that the birth of Kal-El was natural and highly illegal on Krypton. Krypton has a caste system where each person is genetically designed. Jor-El and Lara wanted to create the first free Kryptonian, which places them in extreme danger.

House of El command key is inside baby Kal-El's ship.

There are robots on Krypton and mention of a Genesis Chamber.

From Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures comes "Man of Steel", starring Henry Cavill, directed by Zach Snyder. The film also stars Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Henry Lennix, Christopher Meloni and Laurence Fishburne.

Great WB ruining another great character and a story. Everything about this sounds so generic too me like something straight out of a syfy Channel plot. They are just trying to make everything so advance I am afraid it will confuse the general audience who only watched the films or took consensus from Smallville as that was previously long running. I don't see this film turning out too well, it may have a good box office but the quality is not going to be the same Superman we all know and love in truth.

Take this with a big chunk of salt guys. It comes from CosmicBookNews. For the most part they haven't been that accurate.

But then they may have actually gotten a scoop this time only a few weeks to find out!

Although a lot of this info was already revealed/or it you could guess what it is etc.

I hope it's untrue. Cause if it is, unless it comes out great on screen, this sounds boring. Which sucks cause I was actually starting to really look forward to this movie.

@TheMysteriousStranger

What exactly sounds "generic" about this? And what in the world sounds so confusing about it? And Superman has evolved enough over the last, oh, 75 years, that the Superman fans know and love is pretty varied across the generations.

And given that most popular iterations of Superman have been built on a more classic template (most of which I loved), a modern take on the kind of Superman that's appeared in comics over the 28 or so years is long overdue.

For generic superhero movies, look no further than Thor and Green Lantern.

MoS sounds and looks awesome so far. All I need now is confirmation on June 13th.

I'm not going to read the spoilers, but is funny to read the @Crossbones commentary about the "boring" plot. Is so predictable.
This movie will be awesome.

How come spoilers from the book are only coming out in small spurts like this and the last article by nailbiter?

I figure if it's all in a book...why aren't we getting all the spoilers from the book. LOL

I'm just anxious

Normally, I'd say it to piss you guys off. But this genuinely does not have me that excited anymore. I got excited as soon as the three minute trailer hit and reading this just nearly took away all my excitement. It just doesn't sound good to me. Sorry.

@FIRG: *Kingpin voice* Was that really necessary?

I've been waiting for spoilers, b/c I've so far seen nothing exciting about this movie save for some cool effects and Cavill himself. The story, the tone, the style all look awful...

And, yet, these spoilers all make it sound even worse.

Still...fingers crossed. I *WANT* to like it.

"We learn that the birth of Kal-El was natural and highly illegal on Krypton. Krypton has a caste system where each person is genetically designed. Jor-El and Lara wanted to create the first free Kryptonian, which places them in extreme danger."

The premise of natural birthing is similar to Gattacca, but I hope this movie pulls it better.

@Crossbones I would like to know what sounds good to you? Iron "shit" Man 3? There's nothing in those spoilers that change trailers and the movie...it's not like they say that Zod is not really a mastermind but Perry White is. I don't know why people are so in awe of Marvel Studios...most of their movies are average at best....I'm not really so fond of Avengers too...it's good movie it has moments but...
I liked Iron Man more...it's a pitty they had to make IM2 and 3.

because of Man of Steel a lot of people will forget about Marvel CU for long time and DC will be on top again....I'm not talking about Box Office but about quality.

@Masterpace
you are so right, everyone will forget about the Marvel CU for a long time. DC has a long history of pushing out quality movies so it's about time they come out on top again. How can they not with such movies under their belt such as,Batman & Robin, Steel, Catwoman, Superman Returns, Jonah Hex, Green Lantern, and TDKR with 10 minutes of Batman! Long live DC movies, the definition of quality. lol this guy.

This movie is going to be so amazing!! I'm not a fan of the Superman comic as I've alway found them really repetitive. eg. The world is in danger... Superman saves Lois... Then Saves the world... THE END! At least with this they're adding more depth to the story! 14th of June couldn't be too soon!!! :)
