According to It’s On The Grid (via Badassdigest) Marvel Studios is developing The Inhumans movie adaptation:

The film would be a 'team' story, and it sounds like some of the details may be changed for the movie version.

Aliens who were put on Earth as sleeper cell aliens to eventually call back their race to take over the planet. Ultimately, the group of aliens fully assimilates and don’t want to cause war.

The Inhumans are a race of superbeings who live on the dark side of the Moon; they were created by the alien Kree millions of years ago in experiments on primitive humans.

I honestly don't know what to think of this. If they are indeed going with Skrulls, and the whole cosmic approach, then I guess this should fit perfectly in the Marvel movie universe. But then again, there are far more better stories and characters that deserve a movie adaptation. For now take this with a grain of salt, until there is some sort of confirmation. What are your thoughts on this?

Nice find Wolvie.

Actually that is not far off of their original discription. Moving to the moon is a recent development. They were placed here by the Kree in Attilan.

I find it hard to believe that Marvel Studios would make such drastic changes to the source material. I'd love to see a movie based on The Inhumans though...great find dude! :)

@Hawksblueyes, I agree. It isn't that far off.In the comics, the Kree experimented on humans in order to use them as a weapon against the Skrulls. If the Skrulls are indeed in The Avengers, then it's a perfect bridge to an Inhumans movie, as well as other Marvel Cosmic films.

Also, the description says they are sleeper aliens. The Kree created them in order to use against the Skrulls and any other enemies in the future. So, you could say they were technically sleepers.

And they did create their own society, so these alien Inhumans would be assimilating to Earth by creating their own society.

Sure, there are changes, but they're not that drastic. These Inhumans are aliens and the comic book characters are from Earth. But, recently we did learn that the Kree took DNA from multiple aliens species to create the Inhumans, so they do have alien origins.

YEEESSSSSS!!!!

I hope you all know that this increases the chance of Major crossovers and the Skrull/Kree aliens to take part in the coming Avengers movie.

yeah i'm all for an inhuman film, but doesn't fox own the rights to them since they're apart of the fantastic four comic universe.

maybe marvel studios has got the rights back at long last.

@ intruder

@marvel72

well Black Panther first of was part of Fantastic Four comic universe but FOX dont have the rights to that character.
ThaMessenger07
ThaMessenger07 - 3/7/2011, 12:04 PM
@ marvel: They are not truly a part of the FF4 Universe they just started there. There are many characters who started from other comics and have no association with the studio. Example would Be Sabretooth who started in Iron Fist but was in the X-Men films. Also there is Kingpin who started off a Spider-Man Villain, which is a Sony production yet he was in Fox's Daredevil.

mickbhoy - 3/7/2011, 12:08 PM
@intruder so introducing the inhumans without the fantastic four in the film isnt gargantuan. my point wasnt about the changes its about the blatant bias against fox and the sheer down right childish hypocritical over reacting from the fan boy, basement dwelling uber geeks,

cheers you made my point so much better than i did though,

I have thought that Marvel would move on to space based characters for since Iron Man I. It seemed pretty obvious early on that once Avengers came out that characters like the Imhumans would get their shot.

I want a Rocket Raccoon movie, damn it!

The Inhumans are great and truly underused. The story sounds pretty suspect, but I'd love seeing the characters on the big screen.

mickbhoy - 3/7/2011, 12:30 PM
@intruder perspective? on a board that lambasts fox as if they are releasing kiddie porn on main stream cinemas as opposed to changing some parts of a comic book movie from its original source cause lets be honest thats the main argument against fox. well the inhumans AINT [frick]ING SLEEPER AGENTS. again , changing parts isnot something that bothers me but the blatant hypocrisy against fox is. its cool to change it when it suits me but dont you dare change anything fox cause ill get on my high horseon some message boards.

ok folks im not allowed to comment on the hypocrisy of posters on here who dont mind if other studios change things to do with cbm's but if fox do it then is a [frick]ing disgrace.

are there people out there that feel the same as me or am i in the minority and think that the blatant fox hatred has led into complete and utter one sided bullshit?
