Brief Footage Description From Marvel's The Avengers!

With film wrapping up shooting, we are getting closer to finally see some official footage from Joss Whedon-directed comic book adaptation The Avengers. Now, here is a description of some scenes from the film. More after the jump...

Even I can't wait any longer to see some footage from Marvel's The Avengers (and I'm a really patient person, haha). But thanks to a source close to the production of the Joss Whedon-directed film, who've provided reliable scoops in the past, we have new info revealing a couple things. Though it is nothing big, some of the things are pretty cool. Below is a brief description of a finalized concept for the Hellicarrier, and more. As always, SPOILER WARNING!

One of the things the source told me is that in concepts, the Hellicarrier looks like a huge F-14 with stubbier main wings and large hovercraft blades in all 4 wings. Plus, here is an interesting thing: it has a cloaking device. Next, it was previously reported that they will be filming some scenes at the NASA facility. Well, in the film, it looks like that is a S.H.I.E.L.D. lab where they are studying the Cosmic Cube.

With the trailer being released soon, word is that we'll see the aliens' ship blowing stuff up from the Cleveland filming. Of course with visual effects and everything else. There is a scene where they shoot missiles down onto the street blowing all the cars up. And finally, the source mentioned that Loki is brutal in this movie. Pure evil and more hands on and physical.

And that's about it. Like I said, not much, but at least something until we get the trailer.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Cobie Smulders, The Avengers is set to hit theatres on May 4, 2012!

Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor," and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel’s The Avengers" is the super hero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.

Sounds pretty bad ass. This movie should set the bar for future CBM. Still think joss whedon is a little under qualified for this movie. I;m sure there are plenty who disagree just my opinion nothing more nothing less.

@HangoverWillie, Exactly! I hate when [frick]ing fanboys like grif and lordbaphomet try to incite these stupid wars. Like, personally, I could care less about TDKR. But I don't go around starting shit all the time.

all I'm going to say is Scarlett Johansson>Anne Hathaway.

I'd still wreck both in bed, but cmon now!
Anne isn't even decently 'masked' as Catwoman, that domino mask does nothing to hide her identity.

At least Scarlett doesn't have to wear a mask haha

I'm excited for TDKR
I'm excited for Avengers
That's not making the universe implode or tearing a hole in reality..
[frick]ing fanboys need to chill out.
"Nolanites" need to chill the [frick] out, but the Marvel Supremacists need to do the same

That's sounds awesome. Hopefully it's true. Whedon is the stain on this. I hope he doesn't [frick] up.

@Intruder: He's the writer of Roseanne -_- and has only directed like 1-2 films, not sure bc I dont even pay attention to him.
He's lucky all the characters have been established and will kick ass anyway.
James Cameron would have been a much better choice, even though I hate his self-obsessed guts

@Superman17: "James Cameron would have been a much better choice"

I've never thought of that possibility... very intersting indeed. Knowing him he'll re-release it in theaters with '8 minutes of extra footage' but with the Avengers, that wouldn't be a bad thing. lol

I honestly don't like Wheddon, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and avoid hating on him unlike some ppl on this site

@Simply7Muggs: That question is a little unfair, Joss doesn't have much directorial experience. If he does a good job, I'm sure he'll get nominated some day
