At most, i'm looking forward to Rhys Ifans performance. In fact, this could be a good movie. But, from a strictly superficial standpoint, Pete needs to stop wearing skinny jeans. they just look ridiculous. :P

Here's hoping the Lizard's transformation is similar to the slowly progressing transformation of Jeff Goldblum in The Fly.

Idk Intruder, i'm getting intrested in it... but that statement reaks of hyperbole. Greatest Spider-man film ever? You sound like the Green Lantern fans who claim "this is going to be the star wars of CBM's!" it hasn't even come out yet. there is a chance it could be mediocre. Still will give it a shot, Rhys looks like he'll be a good Dr.Conners, and thats what i'm looking forward to most.

@AlexdoxA
well Rhys' arm looks that way because they cant cut a guys arm off for just movies so they put a green fabric the same kind they use for green screens so they can edit out his arm in post-production, just in case you didnt know

@Intruder- IDK if i'm a marvel studios nut. i've made compliments to this film as well as complaints. And some people have good cases for this looking bad, especially from an aesthetic point of view. I mean, dismissing their complaints and concerns is like the GL fanboys dismissing your complaints. (which might i add are purely superficial) So i think it all comes down to taste, somethings in this from an aesthetic stand point look pretty meh to some of us. others, not so much. none of us know how the story or acting will be, so all we have to go on is our first reaction to these images... thats all i'm saying. first and foremost, i'm a spideyfan. (it was my comic of choice... along with the xmen. and we all know how that series is looking these days filmwise)

TheIntruder@ This film is made for some of the Spiderman fans, but not for this fan. Like I said before, enjoy, but don't expect all Spidey fans to overly thrilled with the direction they are going with this film. Some of us really don't want to see the teeny Spiderman story on the big screen. The first Spiderman film one could not even compare to being "Twilighty". I do think there are some reasonable arguments as to the way they are portraying Parker as being more "Twilighty". You may not see it, but there are a number of people who do. I don't want to see a warm, fuzzy Parker dealing with girls and his teenage angst. I want to see development of the villains of the Spiderman universe and now we have to start all over again. After a couple films they are going to have to start all over again and we will never get anywhere. I just wished they would have moved forward instead of going backward. Groundhog Day. My opinion.

Those pictures of Garfield with the teeny boppers just glaringly point out the fact that he is too old to play a 16 year old.

Well, i'm a nerd and i wear black skinny jeans and i have 2 ramones shirts so ...

Ranger14- Oh right, so basically you don't want to see the original Steve Ditko/Stan Lee version of the character, you'd rather see the Spider-Man that appeared in One More Day. Jeez.

I a,lways find it funny how people get pissed off about Spider-Man being a teenager when the reason Spider-Man was so grounbreaking for his time was that he WAS A TEENAGER, and guess what HE HAD PROBLEMS, that's the entire point of Spider-Man. I swear some people have never read a Spider-Man comic before.

@8thDynasty

"...well, let's just say that this many 14 year-old girls don't normally hang around a comic book movie set."

Um yeah they do. In fact they'd hang around the set of a war movie becuase it's a MOVIE. Regardless of age or gender, if there's a big famous, block buster movie being made near you and you have the chance to get a glimpse most teens will head down.

Oh and BTW last time I checked the Ramones were a PUNK band, hardly [frick]ing Twilight material are they. A guy like Peter would most likley love the Ramones. So quit bitching.
