COMICS: Tons Of New Details And Preview Art For Marvel's Many X-Men Titles!

Thanks to Newsarama, we have the following highlights from the New York Comic Con "X-Men Regenesis" panel with Axel Alonso, C.B. Cebulski, Jeanine Schaefer, Marjorie Liu, Jason Aaron, Kieron Gillen, Peter David, Greg Pak, Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, James Asmus, Brian Wood, Mark Brooks, Daniel Ketchum and Arune Singh all in attendence. Be sure to click on the link below to head on over to the site where you'll find more details and preview art.

Gillen on Uncanny X-Men: "This is like the X-Men operating on a scale we've never seen them operate on before." Gillen said that in his book, the X-Men are trying to be the "premier superhero team. The dial's turned far, far, far to the right," Gillen said, calling the X-Men "superhero team as nuclear deterrent."

Asmus discusses Generation Hope: "The team is sticking with their mission. Sebastian Shaw was mindwiped and left off the map. Once the team sees a signature that is unaccounted for, they're going to go after it thinking it's a new mutant, only to find out that it's Sebastian Shaw."

New X-Men: Legacy creative team is writer Christos Gage and artist David Baldeon.

Wood on the five-issue miniseries Wolverine and the X-Men: Alpha & Omega: "They sort of have it out here in a way you might not think. It's a confrontation that's on Quentin's terms, almost entirely. Armor is brought into the mix, she's kind of a bit of collateral damage."

Now David is talking about Havok and Polaris joining X-Factor: "It's an incredible opportunity. I think fans of the current X-Factor will be pleased, and I think people who were fans of X-Factor back in the day, when this was more or less the original team, are going to have a blast with what we have coming up."

New ongoing series: Age of Apocalypse by David Lapham and Roberto De La Torre. Starts in May 2012.

Wolveirne #300 is coming from Jason Aaron, Adam Kubert "and more." "Everything I've done on Wolverine has been building to this," Aaron says. Wolverine #300 will have the "first look" at the Jeph Loeb and Simone Bianchi return of Sabretooth story.

New Deadpool arc starting with February's issue #50: "Dead." "He may have just found that way [to kill himself]," Singh says.

Alonso said they've tried hard to make it so Cyclops isn't a villain.

Will the impact of Scott's oldest friends — Beast and Iceman — siding with Wolverine be dealt with? Pak: "Read Astonishing. We're definitely delving deep into that starting with #44."

"We love Bishop," Alonso replied. "We have to figure out the right way to bring him back."

Fan asked, essentially, why the X-Men were so awesome. David: "Because we tell good stories have resonance to generation after generation after generation."

[frick] my life! I love anything with the Ragin Cajun, but shit, this is too much, I will only be reading Uncanny X-Force, because, that's the only series I've read lately out of all the X titles that has any originality.

X-Force against the Captain Britain Corps? Colossus and War Machine teaming up? Storm about to become an Avenger? Those teases of Phoenix and Sabretooth returning?Should make for an interesting read in the sense that Marvel's claim that they want to bring the X-Men into the mainstream Marvel Universe may be more than just talk...

@ SuperArgo, Wow I cant believe people still make Marvel vs. DC arguements. A real comic fan goes where the good stories are. Blind publisher loyalty gets you nothing.

The Xmen titles have been amazing these past few months. X-Force series is definetly going to win some sort of award. Also that classroom cover is hillarious.

@SuperArgo Just when I think your stupid Marvel/DC comments could not get anymore stupid. You surprise me. Bravo dumbass!

@Stubbz

Hell yes, you gotz to be rolling to get all these. Subscriptions are cheaper but is a lot or dough up front. You'd think with the economy the way it is and a lot of art being digital that comics wouldn't be 4 buck a pop right now...
