First Look At THE RAID Cast In STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

All the way back in January we found out that a trio of actors from The Raid movies had been cast in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and now thanks to some images from one of the tie-in books we have our first look at the characters played by Iko Uwais and Yayan Ruhian...

Here we have our first official look at Kanjiklub gang members Tasu Leech (Yayan Ruhian) and Razoo Quin-Fee (Iko Uwais) from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The smaller image is probably the character played by their fellow The Raid ass-kicker Cecep Arif Rahman, but obviously it's difficult to verify that.

We don't know a whole lot about these guys, but the Kanjiklub are apparently a notorious band of intergalactic criminals so expect them to play an antagonistic role towards Rey, Finn, Han and the others. It's also reasonable to assume that they'll be putting their considerable martial arts abilities to use in some capacity in the film.

Starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be released on December 18th, 2015.

I agree with @MexicanSuperman that The Raid movies are the best action movies ever. I've been wanting to watch them again, and my roommate hadn't even heard of these before I brought them up. Time to go look for them on bluray. 😎

I've seen hundreds of Martial Arts movies, Thai, Chinese, Korean, Indonesian, American, Japanese etc....and I swear that kitchen fight scene in the Raid 2 has to be (in my opinion) the best martial art fight scene in cinema history. That whole fight from beginning to end left my jaw on the floor.

The raid was great but raid two was amazing they are my favorite r rated action films of all time. The final fight of raid redemption was crazy.

Yeah add me to the list of people who rate the Raid movies as the best action flicks of all time. I was SLIGHTLY disappointed by the over-ambitious and disjointed story of the 2nd, but it was still class.

Looks cool, I preferred the Raid over Raid 2 but both are fantastic.

Told my mates about them but they won't watch them because they aren't in English but watch crap like X Factor.

The Raid 1 and 2 are two of my favorite action movies.

I can't wait for the Raid 3.

It's no surprise that the Russo brothers saw the Raid before they started filming Winter Soldier. Each shares the same level of kinetic energy. Civil War!

@RorMachine

Don't know if you have read this yet:

J.J. Abrams Says ‘The Raid’ Stars Are “Incredible” in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’
(http://www.slashfilm.com/the-raid-stars-in-star-wars-the-force-awakens/)

Incredibly disappointing news, for sure. Though, to have had them in the film at all is a treat, I guess.

Page seems to be gone! Why disappointing? Did they have a lot of scenes cut?

And they're only in one sequence, but I'm fine with that.

Ah well, figured they wouldn't have big roles. They'll prob all wind up dead anyway

Love the raid, hope they make it a trilogy. The russos were smart to cue into these guys cos they are totally awesome. As long as the russos continue to exhibit the raid influence in their cbm fight scenes and choreography they will maintain the edge they currently possess over the competition.Gotta keep them fights brutal.

Let me get this straight.
This dude has the Visual Dictionary of TFA and he decided to only post photos of these characters portrayed by the Raid actors....honestly? Why is that the first thing you can't wait to get your hands on?
I would take pictures of the entire book and share the information you have with everyone...
Show us Snoke, Luke, everything we actually CARE about.
