At least Ollie is grim and gruff with a sweet goatee in the comic. And a black tie?

Come on!

I wanna see a comic book that portrays Green Arrow as this rich Tony Stark-type douchebag who only does the superhero thing because he's a thrill-seeker and because there are other people doing it. Then he gets the complete shit kicked out of him, because in the grand scheme of the DCU, a guy with a bow and arrow isn't really worth jack.

Then when he's recovering in the hospital, he realizes what an irresponsible asshole he's been, and decides to drop the superhero act so he can run for mayor and make a real difference.

...That's the Green Arrow comic I wanna read.

Nomis, remember when this happened? LOL!

I like that they've occasionally alluded to his political preference on the show.

I hope they keep the course embracing the GA mythos and lore.
I want to see more of this political stuff!

Stay away from Batman lore and we are good CW.

They are tiptoeing around Arrow being the most liberal super hero in comics but they will get there. Might as well take a Gavin Newsome poster and a put Amells face on it
