Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3″ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Iron Man 3 was directed by Shane Black, and will hit theaters May 3, 2013! The film stars: Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Gwyneth Paltrow (Virginia Potts), Don Cheadle (Col. James Rhodes), and Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin.

It was a really great film, the twist was an interesting movie twist. To watch this film and really enjoy it the way its meant to enjoy, you have to accept it outside of the comics history.

*SPOILER ALERT* sort of -
My personal opinion is that there should be an Iron Man 4 where the real, ultra powerful, magical, crazy ass son of a beach Mandarin would show up and be like, WTF, You people believed this poser, and then show the world what the real Mandarin's power is.

I really liked what they did with the mandarin in this up until the twist....he was turning out to be a really sinister villain and then.....bwah hah hah?

I think they used to fact that we would think the mandarin would be an actual threat to get us to actual see and hope he would have the rings, its a good film, just a bad story

SmokenOaken- I like that idea as the purist I cant escape being but it might come off contrived and desperate

...and the end...really? I haven't seen a finale so disappointingly contrived since the finale of the Battlestar Galactica series....right? is this thing on?

savin could have been better i would have liked him to fight the mark 42 with the armour for a bit before sending it off with the president.

I had a feeling some of the shots of their heads in that armor was CGI!

"it is hard to like if you're stuck in your ways."

Uh no, it wasn't our way, it was the Marvel Universe way and they gone fudged it up all in the name of current political affairs. But maybe it is showing a good thing, saying the Mandarin is pretty much "Osama Bin Laden" and he was just a puppet and creation of the "White" mans political agendas.

Just wait tell till the real and actual mandarin comes in the master if evil in the avengers 2 or heck maybe ironman 4 then it will be more understandable about the whole thing

They shoulda made Savin a cyborg. Would've separated him from the other villains better.

This film did nothing for me, it was too comedic in parts that were supposed to be serious or dramatic. It never took its self seriously therefore I didn't care for the characters or their well being. He mentions new york, yet we never hear from shield or the other Avengers. If tony wanted to protect pepper then why does he reveal his identity, and address to the world? There was too many references to the TDK trilogy. For example the mansion getting destroyed, Tony calling for back up, but instead of a swarm of bats we get a swarm of robots, the clean slate, pepper killing killian, Maya Hansen AKA Talia al ghul, the twist, tony considering retirement, but then he says he's still iron man even though he already blew up all of his suits which is just dumb. It just seemed like a rip-off of a much superior trilogy. The mandarin was a joke, they mention aliens, but we can't have rings? Epic fail this film was a huge letdown I'm glad I didn't pay to watch this huge steaming pile of crap.

I think everyone should stop freaking out. It's a comic book movie adaption. Any comic book reader knows that there's TONS of different universes, and the movies count as one of those universes. In this one, The Mandarin is just an actor. In the comics, he's a powerful villain. I loved the twist. It's something new. I wasn't expecting it, it's a change. It's not just a carbon copy of the comics. I like it.

wasn't rhodey in the iron patriot carrying the president when stark decided to blow-up ALL of the iron suits?

madhatter2332 That one was reprogrammed most likely and was not "Stark's suit" anymore. It's the governments suit... besides, Jarvis would be smart enough to know not to blow up Rhodey.
