AVENGERS: AOU Release Date Moves Forward In UK & Ireland

It seems those on the other side of the pond will be seeing yet another big CBM before their US pals, as Marvel UK has just officially announced that Joss Whedon's Avengers sequel will now debut on April 24th..exactly one year from today.

Marvel Studios has moved the 2015 release of Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age Of Ultron to April 24 from its original May release in the UK and Ireland.

The UK and Eire tend to benefit from most big comic book flicks opening a little earlier; most recently both Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 -- which still doesn't officially release until May 2. The Avengers sequel is still set for a May 1 release in the US.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will bring the Marvel Universe's biggest heroes together again to face one of their biggest villains, with "Marvel's The Avengers" director Joss Whedon returning to write and direct the sequel."Marvel's The Avengers" was released in 2012 and went on to earn $1.5 billion worldwide, making it the third-largest grossing movie of all time.

Cast includes: Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James Spader and Thomas Kretschmann.

No surprise here, Marvel tends to do that. Pretty much half the world will see this movie before the Americans do.
