Well, I guess Morgan Freeman says what he wants! Seemingly not taking a page from the "you'll have to wait and see" response handbook, in an ind-depth interview with The Wrap the veteran actor is quite happy to reveal whether or not his character Lucius Fox makes it to the end of The Dark Knight Rises. Obviously, big SPOILER ahead..



One of the big questions in my little universe: Will your character, Lucius Fox, make it out of the "Dark Knight Rises" alive?

Yeah.

How does it feel to be done with the Batman series?

I don't see it so much as being done with it. It's the end of a chapter, that's all.

If anone wants sme possible spoilers by a guy who reports he was on set, just ask, and give your email. I believe him, cause the spoilers sound legit according to the trailers and he gives his experiences he had with Nolan, and I can believe him on those alone. The Fire Rises! lol.

@ kevberg - That's the point. The one thing we know for sure is Bruce Wayne is older and NOT at his best in this movie. If he was the same size as in BB it would defeat the purpose. Most actors would probably do that and it'll be ok but Bale is known for making sure every little aspect of his character is authentic, especially his physicality. This is another occasion where he as got it spot on!

Of course he survives! In Nolan's Batman universe, Bats can't DO or figure out ANYTHING without Fox's help! Lucius Fox is the World's Greatest Detective in the Nolan-verse lol

jme@ It's the conclusion to this franchise, so it is expected that Nolan will do something dramatic or "out there" like killing off a main character. I will actually be shocked if there isn't one of the main characters killed. I will be extremely upset and disappointed if it is Batman though, as some rumors are stating.

I think Lucious dying is the obvious and easy way. Killing off someone like Gordon, Alfred, or Bats would have a bigger impact.

Just because the Spider-man franchise is rebooted, it doesn't make the previous 3 films any less significant. Same goes for this film.

For the love of all that is good, please..NO! Just what we need is a wimpy, little Batman. I also don't see transitioning to a new Batman without him being trained and mentored to take on the cape. Not everyone can just put on the cape. It takes a certain drive, psyche and passion to be Batman. If they don't build that up prior to passing on the cape, passing on the cape makes no sense at all. I would rather see a reboot.

I don't know how the rumors of JGL taking over started. But I swear, people try hard to believe in something that just isn't there. "JGL is Robin," "JGL is Azrael," "JGL is the new Batman." It will be slightly funny when none of that happens.

Also, since someone always has to start the "never gets old" Marvel vs DC argument, Avengers was great. I saw it three times. But I admit, upon third viewing, the hype wore off. In fact I realized parts in the first half of the movie were pretty boring. Avengers was better than I expected it to be, but at the same time, it played out exactly how I expected it too. Pure spectacle. Rises will be a film. Avengers will probably stay at top financially, but critically Rises will demolish Avengers. Hell, I think even Amazing Spider-Man will do better critically than Avengers.
Funny to think now, that Spider-Man is the underdog. Years ago, the general public would have been like "Iron Man who?"

I don't think Batman will die, but rather Bruce Wayne will no longer exist. This will ultimately give true meaning to the film's title.

any1 remember the link by IMBD or w/e that basically gave away the movie...how bane kills bat and takes off his mask or it falls off and ppl of gotham and his henchmen see it was bruce n all get bane? i dont think thats true...
cuz that picture of blake and bruce u posted I THINK thats where bruce gets caught n is going to court to face the actions hes done..but i cud be wrong
with that said i also agree im not trusting any1 from this movie...I THINK bat/bruce will DIE..i HOPE HE DOESNT! but again i am ready to cry during this movie...
