Christian Bale Was Never In Talks To Play BATMAN Again After The DARK KNIGHT RISES
Christian Bale earlier last month told that he 'stared into nothing for half an hour' after he heard Ben Affleck was cast as the new Batman. But now in an interview with the Esquire Magazine, Bale tells that he never had a conversation with anybody about a possible return. Check it out!
While talking with the Esquire Magazine, Christian Bale revealed that he was never offered Bond before Daniel Craig as well as the Batman role before Ben Affleck, "No. I’ve never heard of that. Equally untrue about them coming to me for Batman, before Ben Affleck." He also told if he thinks it was the right decision for the role as the caped crusader to be passed on, "Yes. I think it’s the right decision. People were talking about this obscene amount of money they were saying was thrown at me." He then tells that he was never in talks to play the Dark Knight one more time after the final film in the Nolan trilogy (The Dark Knight Rises), "No. I didn’t have a single conversation with anybody about ever playing the role again." So that denies all the old rumors by certain sources (Latino Review), that Christian Bale was set to return as the Bat. With that said, who would you have preferred as the Batman in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice? Sound off below with your thoughts!
The Dark Knight is a 2008 superhero film directed, produced, and co-written by Christopher Nolan. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film is the second part of Nolan's Batman film series and a sequel to 2005's Batman Begins. Christian Bale reprises the lead role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, with a returning cast of Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as James Gordon and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox. The film introduces the character of Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Gotham's newly elected District Attorney and the consort of Bruce Wayne's childhood friend Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal replacing Katie Holmes from the first film), who joins Batman and the police in combating the new rising threat of a criminal mastermind calling himself "The Joker" (Heath Ledger).
