It's not uncommon at this stage for directors to share things with fans from the set of their movies. Heck, even the Russos have started doing it. Not so surprising then that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn has taken up the trend once again. While the first Guardians movie was in production Gunn shared plenty of set photos of side characters and extras in costume as well as tonnes of other tidbits. Today, Gunn took to his official Facebook page to share a rough and comically drawn storyboard with the caption, "Another Wednesday, another shot we just shot from one of my original thumbnails. I don't think you'll ever guess what this one is, at least not until the film comes out (but I know that won't stop you from trying)". Oh Mr. Gunn, you know your fanbase all too well. With that, here's the image:
Gunn's pretty much served this up on a plate for us to speculate on, so we might as well take a crack at it. Looks to me like some of the Guardians have stumbled upon a cocoon. If the tagline is anything to go by, this scene may be essential to the identity of Star Lord's father. Could it be Adam Warlock? Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
