Marvel and Sony have added another cast member to their upcoming solo Spider-Man reboot. Joining Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Marisa Tomei as his Aunt May will be young up-and-comer, Zendaya.

Deadline reports that she'll be playing a character named Michelle, but don't provide any further details. Could this be Michele Gonzales? Will she be the brand new love interest for Parker?

Obviously in the comics that's usually either Gwen Stacy or Mary Jane Watson - but if they're looking to shake things up here and give us something completely new, perhaps this Michelle will wind up taking that role. Or, could she actually be playing either Gwen or MJ and Michelle is a fake name to throw people off? Not likely, but you never know.

Zendaya got her break in Disney Channel series Shake it Up! and K.C. Undercover. Jon Watts will direct the Spider-Man reboot which is set for release on July 7, 2017.

@Earthbound - oh okay then so she's going to be a new lover of Peter Parker but trying to win his affection or just flirts with him because of his smarts.... but Tom is kinda short and Zendaya well she's tall so I wonder how that's going to work out.....

@Earthbound - lol probably but I did my research on Michele Gonzalez and she did date Peter and Mary Jane is Peter's ex while thier dating but I think Marvel is going to bring thier own version of her because she treats Peter bad, or maybe it's like I said she's a love interest but she just uses him for his smarts...

she was in the runnning for young Storm in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Seems like a fine option B.

Now no idea who she could be and how important she could be in the Spiderman franchise, if she isnt Mary Jane or Gwen. We'll see
