Final SUICIDE SQUAD Cast List Reveals The Identities Of Several Supporting Characters & Spoils A Major Cameo
Warner Bros. has issued the official press kit for David Ayer's Suicide Squad, revealing with it the roles of several supporting players, as well as spoiling a major Justice League cameo!
Well, it's official: the Batman won't be the only member of the Justice League to pay a visit to the Suicide Squad when they storm into theaters next weekend.
Warner Bros., in an official press kit sent out to media members today, has unveiled the final cast list for the David Ayer-directed film, and it reveals a major cameo that they probably should've/could've waited another week to spoil. Which cameo exactly? It's the Flash! Yes, Ezra Miller has been confirmed to appear as the Scarlet Speedster at some point during the film. The Hollywood Reporter adds that WB decided to incorporate him into the picture late in the production process, possibly during reshoots, and that he'll appear in an early scene with Jai Courtney's notorious Captain Boomerang.
On another note, despite being heavily featured in the trailers and promos, the cast list makes no mention of Ben Affleck as Batman, which is somewhat odd considering that it does include the previously unknown Flash cameo. Does this exclusion mean we won't actually see Affleck's face under the cowl when he appears as Batman? Does it mean that Affleck isn't actually in the film and that the Batman scenes were performed by a stunt double and/or by someone masquerading as the Dark Knight? Or does it mean something else entirely? Guess we'll find out next week.
In addition to confirmation on Miller and lack of confirmation on Affleck, we've also learned the identities of a handful of mystery characters played by Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, David Harbour, and Corina Calderon. Barinholtz, as we've seen in clips, is playing an Arkham guard named Griggs and it doesn't look like Eastwood is portraying a superhero of any sorts as he's listed as Lieutenant GQ Edwards. Harbour is playing DC comics character Dexter Tolliver and Calderon is playing the part of Diablo's wife, Grace.
