Thanks to Coming Soon we have some new images from the set of the currently shooting episode of CBS' Supergirl that'll feature a guest appearnce from Grant Gustin as The Flash.

There are a few shots of Gustin and Melissa Benoist sharing a laugh as they prepare to shoot a scene, and also some revealing pics of Silver Banshee alongside another villain that appears to be Livewire. I'm not up to date with Supergirl but wasn't that character killed off?

Anyway, from the looks of things she's been brought back, and has teamed with Banshee to torment Cat Grant. Good thing there's a couple of superheroes in the same park, eh?

This will be the first episode of Supergirl I watch. If it's good I'll catch up on the series.

I guess that means the crossover is doing its job.

I'm not saying this isn't cool to be happening and I know budgets are tight for TV shows, but outside of Marvel's Netflix shows, I can't help but feel like I'm seeing Power Rangers-quality (slight exaggeration) effects and costumes (sometimes even acting) in CBTV.

I'm not saying this to complain; I'm legitimately curious why there is such a huge gap between quality in movies and TV.

Can someone with more knowledge enlighten me?
