In the latest batch of images from The Avengers' set in Cleveland, even further proving there's extraterrestrial activity involved, futuristic weaponry has been spotted, along with a stuntmen in motion-capture suits. And with more shots of 'Captain America' offered, hinting that he may go toe-to-toe with the "invaders," check out the revealing images below, via Discordia77!

Don't think Thanos ever needed a gun. The Avengers poster showed Cap with ear cut-outs, I'm liking the covered ear things. Still gonna be badass though.

Well it could be possible being Kang, like the "big threat" Fury was talking about in the movies could be Loki, he was maybe up to something, but, he could be plotting with Kang.

Heh... looking at scruffy Joss Whedon, I'm reminded of Sam Raimi's insistence on wearing a tie at all times while directing.

Personally, while I'd prefer Kang to Skrulls, I'd like to see them work up to him. Plant some clues about technology way ahead of its time (Timely Industries) and the like. Lead up to a full-scale invasion by Kang in the 3rd film (with Ultron in the second.)

That Cap suit needs some work. I'd like to see the ears exposed and a brown belt on him. It should have been a little more Ultimates inspired.

That action pose in the first pic gives me assurance that this suit would look Bada$$ in motion. Its now more than ever looking like the Skrull to me. Its a random guy in a motion capture suit probably portraying more than one in seprately cut action scenes.
