I was strolling through Google and I saw this ad promoting the Avengers and I saw that the Runtime was 2 hours, I dont know if this is true or not but i will keep look out.

2, 2 1/2 hours would be good. :) I wouldn't like it to be 3 hours. That's too long IMO, it's just slightly like when is the movie going to be finished kinda thing...

i think that they put a random runtime just because it's standardized...and i heard the same as rockerdude22...i think it will be around 2 1/2 hour, but i hope a little more!

I would love if it was as long as The Dark Knight! I just hope it doesn't FEEL as long as The Dark Knight lol That movie...for [frick]s sakes half the movie was one long, boring, slow scene!! It woulda been way better if they took out the entire "bombs on boats" scene, and removed Two-Face from the equation altogether until the third film. He was mishandled and shoe-horned in anyway! The Avengers is gonna be non-stop excitment all the way through! I can feel it!! Marvel Studios hasn't given me a single moment yet where I was like "I'm bored...get on with it!"

if it's true, it'll SUCK big time...

but, i DOUBT that that's true. i just KNOW..specially, since this is supposed to be something of a payoff to all the previous marvel flicks..that The Avengers will be, AT LEAST, 2 AND A HALF hours. AT LEAST. i hope it'll be closer to three hours. i mean, even in iron man 2, with war machine, black widow and two villains, the movie's duration felt way too short.

now, the avengers's got like..how many main characters, thor, cap, hulk, fury, widow, clint, maria, loki, tony...just count em. 3 hours will be adequate.

2 hours will SUCK. period.
