Jonathan Majors has been highly sought-after in Hollywood ever since his star-making turn in Lovecraft Country, and it looks like the actor may have landed a huge role as Adonis' ring-nemesis in the upcoming Creed III.
Though he hasn't signed on the dotted line just yet, Majors is reportedly in talks to play the antagonist in the third installment of MGM's boxing drama, which will be helmed by star and first-time director Michael B. Jordan. Specific details on his character are being kept under wraps, but there's a lot of speculation that he might be playing the son of Rocky III's Clubber Lang (Mr. T). Another theory points to Majors taking on the role of Apollo Creed's other son, which sounds more likely to us.
Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad are set to reprise their respective roles, but Sylvester Stallone will not be back as Rocky Balboa. Zach Baylin and Keenan Coogler penned the script.
Majors has also appeared in The Last Black Man in San Francisco and Da 5 Bloods, and will next be seen in Netflix western The Harder They Fall and Black Label Media’s Devotion. Of course, he is also set to play the villainous Kang the Conqueror in Marvel's Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, which is scheduled to begin shooting this summer.
