The full trailer for upcoming Netflix action thriller Gunpowder Milkshake is now online, and it looks like a blood-soaked blast.

Directed by Israeli filmmaker Navot Papushado (Rabies, Big Bad Wolves), the movie stars Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jumanji) as lethal hit-woman named Sam who reunites with her mother Scarlet (Game of Thrones alum Lena Headey) 15 years after she abandoned her child in order to protect her from a ruthless crime organization known as The Firm.

According to the synopsis, "when a high-risk job goes wrong, Sam must choose between serving The Firm and protecting the life of an innocent 8-year-old girl – Emily (Chloe Coleman). With a target on her back, Sam has only one chance to survive: reunite with her mother and her lethal associates The Librarians (Bassett, Yeoh and Gugino)."

The trailer gives off strong John Wick (with more humor) vibes, and while it may not have the most original premise, Gunpowder Milkshake's cast alone should mark it as a must-watch for action movie fans. Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments.

Gunpowder Milkshake also stars Paul Giamatti, Ralph Ineson and Freya Allan, and is set to blast its way onto Netflix on July 14.

I always appreciate a solid action movie and this looks good.
Also Karen Gillan has a cool jacket, which hopefully gets her into the action heroes with iconic jackets club.

Loved Nobody which was even better than I expected.

She definitely has bad luck.
Maybe the world wasn't just ready for those shows then and could see them doing a lot better if they came out now

It will take an excellent script and a visionary director to elevate this premise for sure. But the actors are solid, so I will definitely give this a chance

Most definitely a bit of a John Wick, well let's call it homage instead of rip off. But I would be more than open to see this. Especially since everyone in the cast are some of my favorites.

@BlackBeltJones - They should've worked on Men In Black: International wholesale while F. Gary Gray directed The Lion King remake with Danai Gurira writing instead.

I'm totally down for this. The only thing slightly confusing to me is picturing Headey as Gillan's mother - there's, what, at the most a 15 year age difference between them to begin with?!
