Kate Beckinsale On Whether Selene Returns After UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS

Who would have guessed that fourteen years later, we'd be looking at the fifth installment in the Underworld franchise?  But these films are proving to be profitable much in the same way that the Resident Evil film series (another Screen Gems franchise) squeezes a dollar so here we are.

But does Blood Wars mark an end in the cinematic battle between vampires and werewolves or could Kate Beckinsale's Selene return for a sixth and seventh installment?  Or, if Screen Gems does continue, will their lead actress be back?  Beckinsale states,  "The thing is, we've always gone on a case by case basis. [Only] if there's an audience for it, [because] we don't need to just keep throwing things out there. I've never been attached to [the role] before the concept has come up. It really depends on whether's there's another place to go."

Filming  began on October 19, 2015 in Prague, Czech Republic. The film was released in select international markets on November 24, 2016 but won't be released in the United States on January 6, 2017.

@IAmNemesis - Wow stop it. Others like it. I like them. And no films are garbage. Is there some weird reason you don't want others to see them? Why even be concerned about it?

After this movie flops, I doubt they will make another one.

@TheLight - Just because they set it up for a sequel, doesn't mean it will get one.

Resident Evil got 6 films so I can see this getting one final film. I almost always get these 2 franchises mixed up.

I remember her saying she wouldn't play Wonder Woman because it would've embarrassed her children. Yet she continues to make this CRAP.
