Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is set to appear as Algrim the Strong/Kurse in Thor: The Dark World. However, the British actor won't be disappearing from the public eye once that role ends. Variety reports that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has joined the Roman epic, Pompeii. He joins Emily Browning, Kiefer Sutherland, and Kit Harington.
The movie is directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, who is known as the director Death Race, AVP: Alien vs. Predator, Resident Evil, and The Three Musketeers. It "is set in the days leading up to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in A.D. 79 and tells the tale of an enslaved gladiator — played by Harington — who faces the tyrant (Sutherland) who years before murdered his family and now threatens to steal his lover (Browning)."
