Avengers: Doomsday Leak Reveals New Look At MCU Veteran As "Boris" And The Latverian Witches

It's been a few weeks since we had an Avengers: Doomsday leak, but a possible first look at "Boris" has been revealed today, along with more promotional shots of Doctor Doom's Latverian Witches.

As always, it's best to take leaks like these with a pinch of salt, especially at a time when AI-generated fakes are so convincing. What will be telling is whether these are hit with copyright strikes and pulled from social media in the coming hours.

They certainly look pretty real, anyway, and the poses we see from each of the Latverian Witches may offer some clues as to who is beneath their respective masks. Current speculation points to Clea (purple), Sylvie (green), and the Scarlet Witch (orange).

Back to Boris, and we're sure you'll recall rumours that Doom's most loyal acolyte is really Doctor Strange. We can only guess what the former Sorcerer Supreme has been through since we last saw him, but Stephen's loyalty to Victor Von Doom would follow the comics, where he helped Doom "save" the Multiverse by creating Battleworld.

The presence of a third eye on his mask may be telling, and the reveal that Strange has gone down such a dark path should deliver a real gut punch in theaters later this year...

In related news, a banner currently on display in Anaheim for D23 reveals a new look at Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. This makes a nice change from the last promo image we saw so much of, and it's been updated to include that mysterious piece of cloth around the villain's arm.

A familiar Avengers: Secret Wars rumour has also surfaced, as @MyTimeToShineH is claiming that Tony Stark/Iron Man will return in the December 2027 release.

In Avengers: Doomsday, beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.

Avengers: Doomsday stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Robert Downey Jr. Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Mabel Cadena, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Lewis Pullman, India Rose Hemsworth, and Wesley Holloway all make their Avengers franchise debuts.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn join them, as do X-Men franchise stars Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, with Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum.

The Russo Brothers direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. The movie is produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz, with Callum McDougall serving as executive producer.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18.
