We're just weeks away from Avengers: Endgame arriving in theaters and, well, you definitely have your tickets by now, right? Websites have been crashing left, right, and centre today due to high demand and screenings are selling out fast for what is quite possibly the biggest superhero movie ever.

Earlier today, we took a look at some hi-res screenshots from the new trailer released by Marvel Studios, but it's now time to break down all of the biggest moments and most spoilery reveals.

From a huge battle between Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Thanos at an unexpected location to a lot of long awaited reunions, there's a lot to discuss here and we've covered all the main talking points along with things you guys may have missed at first glance.

So, to check out all of these Avengers: Endgame details, simply click on the "View List" button!

Time Has Passed

O1tmmdsf o

There's been speculation about a time jump between Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame for a while now (mostly thanks to Black Widow's evolving hair colour), and the first shot in the trailer confirms that at least several months have passed.

Look closely at the driveway leading up to The Avengers Compound and you'll notice that it's become overgrown, and while that certainly doen't confirm that it's been years, it wouldn't be surprising if anywhere from six months to one full year has passed. Remember, the MCU does mostly move in real-time, so that would make sense based on past experience as well.

Oh, and look closely on the right and that might just be a new Quinjet!

Regrouping

M74stt1s o

The ranks of Earth's Mightiest Heroes have been left depleted following the events of Infinity War, and it's clear from these opening few seconds that the loss has hit them hard.

Bruce Banner is quick to point out that if they're going to go to war with Thanos, they'll be doing so "short-handed" and Rhodey doesn't waste any time in mentioning the reason for that. With a three-hour runtime, don't be surprised if the majority of the movie's first act deals with the fallout from the Mad Titan's fateful "Snap."

Captain America Loses The Beard

Vpnry3dc o

Captain America's beard in Infinity War got everyone talking, but between him having it in Captain Marvel's post-credits scene and not in many of the trailers, there's been a lot of confusion surrounding that apparent inconsistency.

Well, in this trailer, we finally get to see the moment Steve Rogers shaves off the facial hair and clearly decides to embrace his identity as Captain America again. Believe it or not, this could be a big character moment for him!

Tony And Nebula Return To Earth

Wcsgbjlh o

While it was always pretty obvious that Iron Man and Nebula would find their way home, this trailer actually shows what happens after their arrival back on Earth, and we get to see some major reunions in the process. For starters, Nebula is clearly breaking the news to Rocket that the rest of the Guardians have died and he looks positively heartbroken.

As for Tony, he finally gets to embrace Pepper Potts, and with rumours still swirling that she will suit up as Rescue, we now know that the door is open to that becoming a reality due to the Stark Industries CEO being alive and well at this point in the movie.

Some Visual Changes

Yvzj6ifg o

Iron Man's new armour looks downright amazing in action, but that's not the only change that has been made to some of Endgame's key characters. Clint Barton is rocking a very cool sleeve tattoo (which has to be further evidence of a time jump) and it seems as if some special effects have been improved upon because Thor summoning Stormbreaker definitely looks slightly different.

Assemble

0vhsen9c o

This very cool group shot shows Captain America, Iron Man, War Machine, Hawkeye, Nebula, Rocket, Ant-Man, and Black Widow all in their civilian clothes looking ready to take action.

Whether the rest of the team is (there's no sign of Captain Marvel and Thor, for example) is hard to say, but just seeing this lot share the screen is pretty damn amazing - especially as we never could have imagined the Guardians interacting with The Avengers even just a few short years ago.

On an unrelated note, how awesome is Rocket's comic accurate uniform?

Friends Reunited

Jdjepjan o

Captain America and Iron Man obviously reunite at an earlier point in Endgame than this, but it seems as if this could be the moment their fractured friendship is finally repaired.

I got full body chills at this point in the trailer, but looking at the background and the way Tony Stark is dressed, I'm wondering if these two may have found themselves back in the Battle of New York in 2012. If you recall some of the set photos from the movie, then there's definitely a chance that could be what's happening here.

Either way, that handshake could very well be a game changer in the fight against Thanos.

Avengers...In Spaaaaace!

Fplgywcz o

Footage from Endgame was recently shown off by Disney to shareholders, and it seems as if this may have been one of those scenes. Earth's Mightiest Heroes are on board the Benatar but those white suits are nowhere to be seen, something which might be a strong indication that they aren't space suits at all, and the team suffers some sort of defeat the first time they go after Thanos before returning home.

It's then that they'll be forced to take drastic measures by travelling into the Quantum Realm and through time, something that's sure to lead to Thanos heading to Earth in order to try to put an end to them once and for all. We'll get to that later, though.

Avenge The Fallen

L3emjfjt o

Iron Man watched Spider-Man die in his arms in Infinity War, and that's clearly hit him hard. While Tony has often acted with indifference towards Peter Parker, he cares about the youngster and seems to be carrying the weight of the wall-crawler's demise squarely on his shoulders.

The movie's tagline is "Avenge The Fallen," so expect stories like this to play a key role in the proceedings throughout.

Some Interesting Shots

4hg22ocj o

In a series of random shots, we see Thanos' spaceship, War Machine and Nebula looking on at something unknown, a distraught looking Thor, a sad Rocket (possible on the Mad Titan's ship), and a beaten down Captain America.

These snippets have all been taken out of context, but leave us with plenty to think about and that's sure to be the reason why Marvel Studios chose to include them here.

Thanos Returns

Isxxbwzu o

We finally get a proper look at Thanos in this trailer and it seems as if he's used the power of the Space Stone to teleport to Earth...right? Well, it's not quite the same effect we saw in Infinity War and that may be because the Gauntlet's powers have been depleted.

Either way, it's an impressive looking shot, and the way the villain talks about how the team's failure has brought them back to him is definitely interesting. This is a piece of dialogue we can easily imagine being exchanged between the Mad Titan and Tony Stark, given their last interaction.

Battle At The Avengers Compound

Zr0nsjax o

The sheer amount of destruction at the end of the trailer definitely points to this being our first look at the final battle, and evidence continues to mount that it will take place at The Avengers Compound.

With the building clearly left in rubble, you have to believe that Earth's Mightiest Heroes will have a new base by the time the credits roll, and it might be a safe bet that it'll be somewhere on the West Coast!

The Trinity

Flowqok4 o

Well, this is just plain awesome.

Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor all walk towards Thanos as he sits among the rubble, either defeated or contemplating his victory. Whatever the case may be, he's decked out in his armour (minus the helmet) and has that massive sword by his side - something which confirms that's not just a toy and will indeed factor into this adventure.

It seems appropriate that these three will face down the villain as they are Marvel's Trinity, but the big question on our minds right now is which of them, if any, makes it out alive?

If the facility is destroyed, then maybe it’ll be time for the Avengers Mansion.

@KWilly - Personally I would love to see that and then I’d like to see the Baxter building instead of the avengers tower with a 4 on it

When its clear that some of the scenes in the trailer are doctored (Cap and Tony shaking hands), its best to not try too hard in figuring out stuff that is clearly going to be different in the real movie...

Believe nothing folks. NOTHING...

HeavyMetal4Life
HeavyMetal4Life - 4/2/2019, 11:29 AM
@MCUKnight11 - fck yeah buddy, I got my tickets booked! I woke up early this morning to make sure I was ready. Had 5 alarms set, lol. Got on the computer around 7:35, at 7:45 the tickets went live and I quickly snatched up three IMAX tickets for opening night at 6pm. By the time I had purchased my tickets at 7:49, half the showing was already sold out. Around 8 to 8:15, Fandango crashed and it took me a couple hours plus to get second showing tickets, regular theater on Sunday the 28th.

How bout you?

@HeavyMetal4Life - I don't have them yet, but I'm seeing it on the 25th.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Speaking of Endgame tickets, planning on seeing Shazam?
HeavyMetal4Life
HeavyMetal4Life - 4/2/2019, 12:04 PM
@MCUKnight11 - maybe... I'm not 100% convinced yet, tbh. Seems like half of the people on here saw it early. While there were some that called it great, the majority of users gave it around a 7 to 8/10. I usually don't go to the theaters to see a movie that isn't getting an overwhelmingly great reaction from the audience. Same reason why I didn't go see Glass, and why I might not see Us. If, when the movie comes out in a few days here and it has a really high audience reaction, maybe I'll go see it. But I haven't seen a DC film in theaters since Suicide Squad, and there's a reason why this is the case...
MCUKnight11
MCUKnight11 - 4/2/2019, 12:11 PM
@HeavyMetal4Life - I will. It actually looks good but not till next week. Heading out with the parents for spring break in the highest rated golf resort in the country. Also, I appluad you for not seeing those. I saw all of them on opening which was a mistake. I did enjoy WW and Aquaman though.
HeavyMetal4Life
HeavyMetal4Life - 4/2/2019, 12:26 PM
@MCUKnight11 - oh don't get me wrong, I think the movie's trailers (not all the clips) have been great and I'm really looking forward to seeing Shazam. I just don't know if it will be in theater. It doesn't sound like something, from the general reaction I saw posted, that I must drop everything and go see on the big screen (same thing I got from the Us reactions). So that is just making me pause a little on seeing it. I just want to see what the rest of the audience think before I decide one way or the other.

Yeah, before SS the last DC film I had seen in theater was TDKR. My ex girlfriend was the main reason I went to go see SS, she really wanted to see it and was in love with Leto's Joker. Probably foreshadowing right there that stuff wouldn't work out, lol!!
I might actually have gone to see Aquaman in theater, in hindsight. That film had a lot of issues, but I did enjoy it and so far its my favorite DCEU film. I am not a fan of WW though.
MCUKnight11
MCUKnight11 - 4/2/2019, 12:34 PM
@HeavyMetal4Life - WW does have it's problems. Yeah, if she loved Leto that is a red flag. Definitely not wife material right there.
