The amazing Ryan Meinerding is responsible for the appearance of many of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most amazing characters and costumes, but a new piece of artwork from
The Art Of Avengers: Endgame shows how the artist went about transforming Chris Evans' Captain America into the elderly Steve Rogers we meet in the movie's closing moments.
As you can see, there are some serious Clint Eastwood vibes here, and it appears as if an earlier version of the character wouldn't have been quite so frail and elderly if this is any indication.
After all, it wouldn't have been hard to imagine this take on Old Man Steve Rogers being able to head back into action (something we saw in the comic books when he donned his Super Soldier outfit during Sam Wilson's tenure as Captain America) but it's possible that's something Marvel Studios wanted to close the door on now his time as a superhero has reached its end.
It doesn't appear as if Evans is planning to reprise the role of Steve Rogers in
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, but the actor is open to returning to the MCU providing it means something.
What would you guys like to see next for the former Captain America on the big or small screen?
