Avengers: Endgame brought Robert Downey Jr.'s time as Iron Man to an end, and the movie's credits paid tribute both to him and the other five original members of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Now, Perception has shared some alternate designs which find different ways to pay homage to the Armoured Avenger. On their website, they explain that these credits were broken into three distinct sections, "the Crew, the Cast, and the 'Hero 6.'" Visual Effects Director Doug Appleton explained that the concept of a "curtain call" actually came from Kevin Feige.

"Honestly, once the excitement died down, it was a bit intimidating," he explains. "How do you end the movie that ends the story that started 22 movies ago? So, when we talked to Marvel Studios, and Kevin Feige had the idea to give this sequence a 'curtain call’ kind of feel, everything just clicked into place."

Chief Creative Director John LePore, meanwhile, notes that the hope was to give the credits "a more personal and intimate connection" by including those signatures and, yes, it was another idea from Feige to do so! It goes without saying that probaly shouldn't come as a surprise given how attuned he is to what resonates with fans.

It was a beautiful moment. Iron Man obviously got the biggest applause. Hulk the weakest if any at all.

While a whooping audience is heartwarming, I don't think I could ever bring myself to go and see a movie in America.
