Here's What Really Went Down At Disney's AVENGERS 4 And CAPTAIN MARVEL CineEurope Presentation Yesterday

At CineEurope yesterday, Disney promoted a number of upcoming Marvel Studios releases including Ant-Man and The Wasp, Captain Marvel, and Avengers 4. Since then, a number of false reports have started doing the rounds in regards to what was shown, including a scene revolving around Iron Man and Ant-Man discussing different realities and the Infinity Stones. Well, those claims are false!

In reality, Avengers 4 was simply referred to as "Avengers Untitled" and a clip was shown of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige sitting in a chair and apologising to exhibitors for there being so few heroes left to sell to their customers. This was filmed specifically for those in attendance and the only tease for the sequel was that the remaining heroes are going to have to come back together as a team.

As for Captain Marvel, a few brief scenes from the movie were shown and that footage highlighted both her as a character and her powers. The gist of it was that Carol Danvers is the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most powerful hero and that she's set to become the new face and leader of this shared world moving forward. Needless to say, you shouldn't expect this featurette to be released online.

I wonder how long before we get that Avengers title

I don't like that they're so adamant on letting us know Carol is the strongest in the MCU. They never even told us Thor or Hulk were this entire time, especially the former after his bumps in Ragnarok and Infinity War.

It's not even that Thor or Hulk were never given that title, I just don't think any character should be given it at all. If Feige's telling us this off-screen then there's no need to even show us her potential because we already know. We already know that every other character in the MCU is weaker than her and she hasn't even appeared yet... which sucks.

Just show don't tell. Don't tell at all.

Can't wait to see Carol like many others, hope she has the personality of a military officer and tries to whip some of the various avengers into shape, I think that could make for some hilarious exchanges.

Also give Jude Law the Mahr Vehl personality.

I swear every time we get a new marvel character, it's suggested they will be the new "face" of the mcu. Dr Strange, BP, Spider-man.

No one is going to replace RDJ IM. That was lightning in a bottle. The coolness, the charisma, tech powers that represent our tech world. The buildup from solo, to friends, to an army of heroes. We grew with RDJ. I don't know if any hero can achieve his level of popularity moving forward.

@BloodyBed - Someone will absolutely have to replace him once he hangs it up, Thor, BP, or Captain Marvel will all fill the void.
