Cher Responds to Catwoman Rumor, "I'm Too Old"

Thank goodness this turned out to NOT be true, and that Cher herself has some scruples.

During a recent appearance on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Cher laughed off the “Batman 3” rumor, telling DeGeneres she was “too old to be Catwoman.”

It's always interesting to hear what the stars themselves have to say about all of the speculation.

“I could be Grandma Catwoman or something,” she added.

It starts around the 3:00 mark.

I disagree Rorschach01, I think she didn't dismiss it because she didn't see a reason too, the look on her face suggest she couldn't believe people were honestly believing this. When I heard this, I knew it was a joke. And 10 points to Cher for jumping right on it with the I'm too old and Grandma Catwoman comments. I can't believe I had to sit through 3 minutes of garbage to hear it though.

I'd love Cher to be CATWOMAN!!!! : D Just joking, id rather CATWOMAN stays away from the BAT francise! Infact that goes for RIDDLER, FREEZE etc etc!! I wanna see new supervillain on film like DEADPOOL, BLACK MASK etc! Hey whatever happen to that rumor DEATHSTROKE had a cameo in TDK?? Was that actually true an filmed but cut out the movie?!? Who knows? Anyway i think new blood should be in the new BATMAN an never a ROBIN ; )

I love Pfeiffer, she is hot and awesome. Definitely would give it great continuity. But having been part of Burton's view of the franchise, Nolan probably won't repeat any previous actors from the other films. He doesn't want any connections with the other films. But yeah, he could change his mind cause Returns is a good film.

Whatever I dont care what any of you say Cher is still smokin hot and and I would pay to see her in tight leather. Michelle Pheifer is a dog and sucked as Catwoman. I wish Cher would be Catwoman. Also anybody who thinks Cher wouldnt make a good Catwoman has obviously never seen a Cher movie, she is amazing actress!

Matowar: Hey relax man. I suppose that if the Catwoman´s take would fit Cher´s performance_ (like a Madame-Catwoman, perhaps Selina would be an older woman running prostitutes girls in Gotham in Nolan´s world) it could work.

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY. DON´T TAKE IT THE WRONG WAY OK??

i am refering to the Catwoman´s origin story where she was a prostitute and had a pimp, that was adult-oriented and the drawing was kind of black and white, bruce had this urban outfit and no bat-mask.. i liked it.

Nolan kind of used that look in the "Now we are two" scene with Gordon in Batman begins

Awesome to hear that the Joker will return and no Cher confirmed. I have a couple points to make. I say Nolan comes back for the third and gets Daniel Day Lewis as the Joker and make him sign on for 2 films. Then get Rachel Mcadams or the chick from My Name is Earl as Harley Quinn. Maybe Catwoman (Jolie) or Depp (Riddler or Hush) as the secondary villa1n again. Lastly, Snyder to do Dark Knight Returns to close out franchise after Nolan bails. He can transfer/bring Miller/Moore books to film better than anyone!

The wierd thing is that Uwe Boll would actually go for it LOL But Shyamalan would make us shoot it in a way that it could actually be worse ending with a twist that makes no sense like the actors ripping off their face masks to find out that they are not who we thought they were. McCauly would actually be Rosanne Arnold! Great pick Gtrman, i'd pay to see Rosanne in tight black latex!!! :P

jordan heath - RIGHT ON! Jamie Pressley as Harley Quinn - that's a good call! Not really feeling Rachel Weisz as the Catwoman, but who knows? She's an Oscar-winner, very versatile. Might be able to pull it off. And, naturally, Johnny Depp as the Riddler. This is my cast list of villains.

Furthermore, we go with the Riddler storyline, keeping him as the lead, and give him a bunch of super-intelligent minions (not your typical goons), and Harley will be his "muscle", so to speak. Joker lends her to Riddler through a go-between in Arkham, which could lead into a fourth Bat-flick where Joker escapes. By then, we have successfully found a decent replacement for Heath Ledger as the Joker, and there will have been more character development.

What do you think???

Uh, has anyone nominated Kate Beckinsale for the part? After watching 'Underworld' again, I think she would be purrrr-fect for the role (she's already got the skin-tight outfit wearing and the ass-kickery down cold!) ME-OUCH!!!!!
