Jensen Ackles Becomes The BATMAN The Arrowverse Needs With His Epic Halloween Costume

Supernatural star Jensen Ackles just won Halloween with his incredible Batman costume, which, quite honestly, would definitely fit in as part of this year's Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover...

Jensen Ackles was a fan-favourite choice to play the Red Hood in the DC Extended Universe for the longest time, especially after he voiced the character in an animated movie. Not too long ago, he suited up as the anti-hero in photos that blew the minds of comic book fans, and he's now back at it, this time as a version of Batman who would look amazing in the Arrowverse (via Instagram).

"Wishing everyone a Happy and Long Halloween!" he said on Instagram earlier today. "Thanks to @arachnobite for this crazy, awesome suit and for convincing me to take these pics. (Didn’t think the hotel was gonna let us on the roof...glad they did). Stay safe out there, kids."

We know that Batman is missing in the Arrowverse (that's the entire premise of Batwoman), and it would be awesome to see Ackles play the Dark Knight in this impressive looking suit.

These photos shouldn't be taken as an indication that he's up for the role, of course, but Ackles will need a job once Supernatural comes to an end next year. Check out the suit by hitting the "View List" button below!

Yes, now that the show is ending it would be a good fit. Jared though... I hope he doesn't get into more trouble.

@jj2112 - Might need someone a little older for Batwoman, considering he was already Batman when Kate was in her early teens, I guess its possible that may have been batman in his early stages though.

@Kevwebsz - To bad he is too old to play that role in live action

@dracula - Maybe not. Considering how long Batman-career Bruce supposedly already has had in Arrowerse, according to Batwoman, you could argue that Jason is already a fully adult. I could totally see Jensen doing a cameo as Red Hood somewhere in the Arrowerse.

@dracula - In all fairness there is a way for him to play Jason Todd in a live action Red Hood show, it just means changing his backstory a little bit. It could work if they go the Oliver and Tommy route. Make them close friends with a brotherly relationship rather than father and son.

Bruce went off the rails as a teenager after his parents died, Jason saved his life one day and they became close friends. Jason eventually goes down a darker route and becomes a criminal, Bruce feels betrayed and goes off to train. Jason is killed by the Joker off-screen (since we're unlikely to see him) and he's brought back by the League of Assassin's then becomes Red Hood.

They could show Jason and Bruce's relationship in flashbacks until it culminates in Jason's death, along with him training with the League prior to becoming Red Hood. And since it's a show about Red Hood, it wouldn't even really need to show Batman or Bruce's grief of losing him. Just have the other characters reference it as Bruce's biggest failure and how much it messed him up.

I don't know, done right, I think it could work making them ''brothers''. Having said that I would rather see him play Batman in the Arrowverse over Jason.

@TerryTerrapin - I guess that could work if thats what they want, personally don't see Jason having a brother or much of a father son relationship with Bruce. I'd say those go to Dick and Tim.

I like the actor, he`s a terrific Dean and I didn`t forget his stint on Smallville, he grew very much on me- I regret to say that, but for my take, he`s sadly too old to play someone iconic in a franchise as a lead- he wouldhave been a good Flash or even an awsome Geeen Arrow

That is rather awesome. Not a huge fan of the grey cloth (looks a bit baggy), would be PERFECT if they were the grey armor plates from the Arkham games - but that cowl! 🤯🤤 And Jensen’s got the jaw line for it 💪🏻
