The signs are all pointing to
The Batman being another origin story for Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight as he returns to Gotham City and dons the cape and cowl for the first time. Now, a new rumour points to the Batsuit being quite a bit different to previous versions and not quite as technologically advanced.
A report from
Batman On Film claims that Pattinson's Bruce Wayne will be solely responsible for his costume, an indication that it won't feature the sort of gadgets we've been used to seeing courtesy of Wayne Industries. Instead, it sounds like it could be cobbled together from his own resources, thereby giving it a very different look and an appearance possibly similar to
Batman: Zero Year.
As for the Batmobile, we should probably forget about seeing a tank-like vehicle or even one as stylised as in the earlier Batman movies. Instead, it's described as being akin to a "muscle car."
The most exciting thing is that a first look at both the Batsuit and Batmobile is expected to arrive imminently, as shooting starts taking place in the open. Some fans are likely going to be disappointed by the prospect of a "homemade" Batsuit, but that could change over time in this proposed trilogy.
