THE BATMAN Rumored To Begin Production Next Spring With Ben Affleck On Board As Producer

We have a (potentially) very exciting update on Matt Reeves' Batman movie, as a new report indicates that the WB film is set to commence production next spring, with Ben Affleck on board as producer...

Director Matt Reeves recently revealed that he was still in contact with Ben Affleck in regards to his solo Batman movie, and now we may know why.

While we still don't know if the actor is going to return to the role of The Dark Knight (it seems highly unlikely at this point), a new Production Weekly report indicates that he is still on board the project as a producer, which would explain Reeves' comments.

The report also claims that the project is scheduled to begin filming in the spring of 2019.

While the source is usually a very reliable one, the bulk of the information is behind a paywall (via Pursue News) so we're marking this in the rumor column until we find out more. That said, this would appear to be a good sign that things are finally moving forward on The Batman.
