BIRDS OF PREY: Cryptic Jared Leto Snapchat Post Leads To Speculation Of His Return To Joker Role

Recent set photos have revealed that the Joker will appear in some form or fashion in the Harley Quinn-led Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn) film from director Cathy Yan.

Just yesterday, set photos of the Joker appearing in Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn) surfaced and not a day later, Jared Leto released the below post on his Snapchat, referencing his time as Gotham's Clown Prince of Crime. Is it just a coincidence?

Some fans are speculating that a stand-in was used for Leto's tattooed menace and that Leto himself will just provide the voice. Others are stating that Leto may actually appear, as a flight from the UK (where Leto is filming Sony's Morbius) to Los Angeles, CA (where Birds of Prey is filming) is only 10 hours on a private jet.

What do you make of this development? The set photos confirm that it's definitely the Joker from Suicide Squad that's appearing. but the angle of the pics make it impossible to confirm whether it's Leto or a stand-in.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) hits theaters on February 7, 2020. Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs) directs from a script penned by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee).

Margot Robbie reprises her role as Harley Quinn and is joined by:
  • Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary
  • Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress
  • Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain
  • Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya
  • Ewan McGregor as Black Mask
  • Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz

A bastardized Harley Quinn film with two thirds of the Birds of Prey shoehorned in plus terrible Leto Joker? Sounds fun.

@WakandanQueen - You forgot a geriatric Renee Montoya and a prepubescent Cassandra Cain, two more all star decissions

I don't think he was AS bad as people say, the weird editing definitely made it worse and his lines were terrible.

Actually I just watched all his scenes on youtube and it is as bad. I stand by the editing thing though

But didn't Leto grow a beard for Morbius? Ah hell, WB is going to bring back the Joker nobody likes and digitally erase his beard using the same crappy CG team that erased Superman's mustache in Justice League, aren't they?

So is this a sequel to Suicide Squad while The Suicide Squad is a reboot of Suicide Squad?

Reminder that the DCEU has somehow managed to have the worst big screen Batman, Superman, Joker and Lex Luthor, which is something I truly still can't fully comprehend

@OmegaDaGrodd - have you forgotten about Brandon Routh and George Clooney?

@Ryguy88 - Brandon Routh >>>>> Henry Cavill, despite trying to imitate Reeves
