Following the news that Jurnee Smollett-Bell and Mary Elizabeth Winstead will be playing Black Canary and Huntress, respectively, in Cathy Tan's Birds of Prey movie, we have word on who's been cast as the fourth member of the team alongside Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn.
According to The Wrap, Rosie Perez will portray Detective Renee Montoya.
Montoya was originally introduced in Batman: The Animated Series, but has since gone on to become a very popular figure in the DC universe as one of the few openly lesbian characters in comics. She has also assumed the superhero identity of The Question in the past.
Perez shot to fame after her breakout role in Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing. She also appeared White Men Can't Jump, and was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in Fearless.
Birds of Prey hits theaters February 7, 2020.
