The official
Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) Twitter page has announced an
art competition to coincide with the upcoming release of the movie, and with it comes a much more detailed synopsis for the Cathy Yan-directed DC Comics adventure.
A leaked plot breakdown for the film did the rounds online a few months ago, and this would appear to confirm that at least some of what it entailed was accurate. Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) will indeed be hunting for young "Cass" Cain (Ella Jay Basco), and Harley (Margot Robbie), Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) will be forced to put their differences aside and team-up to save her.
The synopsis also seemingly reveals that Harley will actually narrate the story as it unfolds on screen.

In the Warner Bros. Pictures film, Margot Robbie returns as Harley Quinn, alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress; Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary; Rosie Perez Renee Montoya; Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz; and Ewan McGregor as Roman Sionis. Newcomer Ella Jay Basco also stars as Cassandra “Cass” Cain in her feature film debut.
