HARLEY QUINN: BIRDS OF PREY Gets A Premiere Date On HBO Max Streaming Service

Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey didn't make the biggest of impacts at the box office when it was released back in February, but if you missed it then, you'll soon be able to check it out on HBO Max...

Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey received positive reviews from critics, but it failed to take flight at the box office. It's still not entirely clear what went wrong, though it remains possible that Warner Bros. simply overestimated the popularity of Harley Quinn (and alienated comic book fans by delivering a non-faithful take on the Birds of Prey team).

Regardless, if you were among those who skipped the movie in theaters, then you'll now have a chance to watch it for free on HBO Max starting August 15th.

The streaming service has been adding a number of DC Comics titles on something of a "revolving door" basis, so it remains to be seen how long Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey will stick around. However, it's clear now that Warner Bros. is pretty much done attempting to monetise the film as it hasn't actually been available on Digital and DVD/Blu-ray for that long.

The future for Harley Quinn on screen isn't clear, but Robbie will reprise the role in The Suicide Squad next year. There have been rumblings about another movie of some sort for the character, but that's unconfirmed, so we'll have to wait and see what Warner Bros. decides to do with her.

Has to be better than The Twilight Zone.

Season 2 came out and I have zero interest in giving that another chance

That show was awful, and honestly it’s kind of baffling to me that anyone could give that show a positive review.

@regularmovieguy - Twilight Zone... what a massive disappointment. I remember just how hype that super bowl spot was too, and then the actual show sucked. You have Kumail playing a comedian and you still made it suck, that takes skill.
Peele is just producing Lovecraft though, alongside JJ. Excited for the Candyman film he wrote though, directed by Nia De Costa, between that and this he’s got some interesting stuff coming out

Kumails episode was one of the better ones, too. That’s how bad that [frick]ing show was.

Haha no I’m hyped for Lovecraft. It should be good 👍🏻 Candyman looks legit, too.

@regularmovieguy - I'm in awe of this show. Everytime I think they've reached their peak, they keep outdoing themselves. And damn, what a tragedy next season is gonna be

We’ll have to wait and see. I wonder if Josh has that phrase set up as a one keystroke option.

Watched it the last they day, I think it was more good than bad. To show my level of bias or non bias whatever, really I like or dislike what I like or dislike, here’s how I rate dceu films on 1-5 star scale (I think it’s chronological, check me on it if you like)

MOS 4
BvS 4
SS 1
WW 4
JL 2
SHAZAM! 5
Aquaman 4
BoP 3

I liked the first 2 Snyder movies. I thought SS was SStupid. I liked Wonder Woman. JL had some interactions I liked. Loved Shazam. I liked aquaman. BoP went some places I liked while having elements I didn’t, but I guess more positive than negative.

Bonus:
Joker 4
I thought it was pretty good but too gloomy, gloomy films can be good yes, but if I never wanna watch it again, you lose a star.

HBO would have to pay me to watch this again. Some of the action was pretty great but it wasn't enough to make up for the the rest which was god awful.

Cool. Can't wait to not watch it again. Mediocre movie.
