It seems it won't just be the heroes that'll be getting new duds for DC's post Divergence series of books, as the image of Superman's arch nemesis Lex Luthor below confirms. Word is Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) will be powering up his "warsuit" to go one-on-one with the Man of Steel in Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, but there's every chance it'll be a slightly more stripped down/believable outfit like this one - it does retain the classic green and purple colour scheme after all!

 


Luthor will debut his new look in Batman/Superman #21 next month.

The design isn't too bad, but the purple needs to be more purple and less pink. Not too fan of the art, also, but I guess thereis worst.

Convergence has been mediocre. It started out slow but is picking up steam. The tie-ins have been really good, though. Divergence doesn't look good at all from what I've seen.

The only costumes I've really liked have been for Flash and Wonder Woman. Divergence is making everyone else look like abominations.

I kind of like it. Looks like they're going more towards the Silver Age, with Lex being more of a tech-oriented mad scientist. Lately he hasn't had much in the way of "tech". He has the power suit and he'll make a cloning machine or something huge like that, which makes sense because he was the guy pulling strings, not the one fighting. He's carrying things now. The goggles aren't so hot though. Maybe make them transparent.

Also, if that's some sort of Kryptonite in the chest piece, it makes sense that it's lighter, as Lex wouldn't NEED much offense. Honestly never really got why he'd want such bulky armor anyway. The more I look at this costume the more I like it.
