Erica Schultz (Writer) thoughts on the novel:

“This story takes us way back to before Emily had any experience in her ‘takedowns’. She makes mistakes. She learns from some of them, but, as you’ll see, she has a hard time learning some lessons and fans of the show will be pleased to pick up on a few Easter Eggs hidden here and there.”

Series writer Ted Sullivan then adds:

“Emily is a comic book character!” exclaims “Revenge” “She has a secret identity. She’s poses as a rich socialite who exacts revenge for a childhood tragedy. Even her famous dark “hoodie” is a type of superhero costume. She has all the classic comic book tropes that make her and her adventures a perfect fit for an original graphic novel with Marvel.”

“Revenge” returns with all new episodes Sunday, March 9th at 10 p.m. on The ABC Television Network. “Revenge” stars Emily VanCamp as Amanda Clarke/Emily Thorne, Madeleine Stowe as Victoria Grayson, Gabriel Mann as Nolan Ross, Henry Czerny as Conrad Grayson, Josh Bowman as Daniel Grayson, Nick Weschler as Jack Porter, Christa B. Allen as Charlotte Clarke, and Barry Sloane as Aiden Mathis. “Revenge” is executive-produced by Sunil Nayar, Marty Bowen & Wyck Godfrey and Gretchen J. Berg & Aaron Harberts. The series, created by Mike Kelley, is produced by ABC Studios.

@ndwwrestler2 No, Amanda/Emily is not violant like Uma Thurman in Kill Bill. She takes revenge with wits.

Wait...isn't this show a soap-opera? Why is it getting a comic book and why does she looks like a badass assassin?

@ndwwrestler2 Yeah but Arrow is still a comic book show, is there anything really comic book-ish about revenge?
