COMICS: Shocking New MARVEL LEGACY Teasers Revealed Alongside Stunning Alex Ross CAPTAIN AMERICA Variant

What is hunting for the Infinity Stones and where has Captain America vanished to? These are just some of the questions posed by a new series of Marvel Legacy teasers and a stunning Alex Ross variant.

Marvel Legacy promises to return to the Marvel Universe to its old self and now a new series of teasers have been released which drop some hints about what's to come in the highly anticipated One-Shot.

As you can see, they set up everything from Captain America's new status quo to the return of Iron Man, while Jean Grey's trip to Canada could definitely be a hint that she's looking for Wolverine!

We'll just have to wait and see but Marvel has also debuted Alex Ross' incredible variant cover for Captain America #695. The title will be written by Mark Waid with artwork from Chris Samnee.

While it homages a classic Invincible Iron Man cover, that bottom quote is particularly interesting. "Back in the fight," it reads, "Captain America battles to regain the support of a nation!"

  • WHO SENT THE CALL FROM PLANET HULK?
  • WHAT IS HUNTING FOR THE INFINITY STONES?
  • WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CAPTAIN AMERICA?
  • WHEN WILL THOR FIGHT THE WAR OF REALMS?
  • WHY DOES JEAN GREY JOURNEY TO CANADA?
  • HOW HAS THE BODY OF IRON MAN DISAPPEARED?

I am very excited about this.

These questions are not remotely interesting.
Not for me at least.

Although it looks like Aaron will be doing a..erm..."Original Sin 2.0".
A (small) event i really really liked, certainly more than that shitty CW II by Bendis.
But those questions were far more interesting.
That thing with Peter's radioactive Spider and Silk, Unworthy Thor and a tenth realm, secret origin of Hulk and that twist with Iron man, the twist with the thing and the human torch etc etc...
I haven't read all of them, but yeah...

@Doomsday8888 - what was the twist with the thing and human torch

@jascurio -
The Thing had a chance to cure himself and Johnny ruined it for him!

But the thing is, there was always a second twist that suggested that everything that happened was for the best.

They should do for Spiderman what DC Rebirth did for Superman, bring his wife and kid into the main continuity, DC is moving their characters into the next stages of their lives, while Marvel has been replacing them for the last few years, I hope the rumors aren't true and that this will bring back the original characters, cause ive been looking for a good jumping on point ever since the first Marvel Now, and with every relaunch its been harder.

This is an obvious rip off of DC Rebirth, I just hope its a good rip off

Off topic but pics of the new Flash suit are out.

@NinnesMBC - It's a little bunchy, but I like the lines and color. Gustin's big egg head will probably never look good in a cowl, though.

It also seems that the titles for the 2nd and 3rd episodes of The Flash will be named "Mixed Signals" and "Luck Be A Lady" because an actress was spotted on set looking a lot like Hazard.

Ross is wasted at Marvel. And Jim Lee has been stagnating at DC for a while, too. Can we arrange some sort of Red Rover situation?

@Spock0Clock - for some reason Alex Ross's style and Marvel characters always seems a little off to me, mostly the covers that he's done lately

@EnnisFan - It was great for Marvels when he was doing loving paintings of the silver age, and I generally liked Earth X (though no love).

But DC just lends itself better to Ross' classical styling. Though, I guess I haven't seen him trying to do particularly modern versions of DC's characters, either...

@Spock0Clock - yeah I thought about that after my comment, we haven't seen him draw the modern DC universe, his silver age Marvel is definitely better suited than modern but DC does really lend itself to the epic/classical style because it's always been intended to be a more mythical universe

@Spock0Clock - I've been loving his Spider-Man covers, but some of he Avengers covers have been sloppy. I'd rather see him working on actual comics again. His Earth X series was one of the greatest things Marvel ever did.

I'm open to anything that can fix the current state of Marvel Comics. We definitely need more of the classics and less of the new characters. If it was up to me, America Chávez and Miles Morales would pied piper all the silly new characters and Inhumans into a new version of the Ultimate universe and lock them away there.
But that's just another of the big problems. Reed Richards squashed it down to one single reality/timeline in Secret War, yet we have America Chávez hopping parallel dimensions again. Where did those dimensions come from? And why are people able to time travel again? Is Marvel retconning stuff that happened a year ago, or is there no editor in chief watching for these continuity mistakes?

Alex Ross art is distgusting. His characters all look old and really fat. Quit sucking his dick. It's awful.

I hope that they bring back Rich Rider (NOVA -PRIME) to his own book.
niknik

I just hope this isn't a short lived gimmick to get quick sales. The Marvel universe desperately needs to be restored to its former glory with all of it's iconic characters returned to greatness, while the newer characters (or entire universe since MarvelNow) separated and sequestered to it's own line of books like the Ultimate universe used to be.

Sales will increase dramatically if all of the older, lifelong readers that left a few years back are given a reason to start buying books again. That demographic has deep pockets.
