COMICS: The Avengers Of 100,000 BC Assemble In This First Look At MARVEL LEGACY #1

We know that Marvel Legacy #1 will essentially put the Marvel Universe on a new course but perhaps the biggest surprise is the fact that it will introduce us to a very (VERY) early iteration of The Avengers.

As you can see below, that's going to consist of some familiar faces alongside new ones with monikers we already know. In this first look at the issue from Jason Aaron and Esab Ribic, we get to see the team in action after an unseen battle and it looks like Odin is struggling with his own worthiness here!

"It begins at the dawn of the human
race, and ends with a child’s prayer," reads the solicitation text for the issue. "In between, empires fall, mysteries brew, secrets are revealed, quests are undertaken and legends are forged! All leading up to the dramatic return you’ve been waiting for — and one you’ve been dreading!" We'll find out what that entails when the issue goes on sale next Wednesday!

What do you guys think of this preview
for Marvel Legacy #1? Share your thoughts in the usual place.

I really like this as a concept, I may be a bit biased because I had those weird cavemen versions of the ninja turtles in the early 90s... I'm down with it

I'm digging it.

And can't stop repeating myself and remarking this is actually some CREATIVE Marvel shit.

If they bring back the F4 with this one shot, they better add a special thanks to Geoff Johns in the credits, it's all i'm saying.

Better them (Reed and Sue) than Jean Grey tho. I only care about her, and i really don't want the Phoenix storyline mixed up in this, Rosenberg got everything covered, thanks.
Besides, they're already using a Phoenix host, she's even part of those old Avengers and Odin's love interest, so what the hell...

@Doomsday8888 - How do you figure Johns deserves a thanks?

@OmegaBlack13

It was a joke, but to be honest, if they really use this one-shot to do certain things, like bring back the F4, then this Legacy will be a rip-off of DC's Rebirth.
I don't know if you read that one-shot written by Geoff, but we literally have these things.
They used that story to bring back Wally West, a long lost hero.
Legacy always played a big part in the DC universe (Jay, Flash, Wally, Bart etc..) not Marvel.

I don't know how the story will turn out in the end, but the structure itself is VERY reminiscent of what DC did.
Hell, they're even going to have their own "New 52" ops i meant 53. :P
Not to mention the one shot itself.

I like the concept, might be worth checking out.
Amazing, marvel can be still creative when they try hard. The past few years it looked as though they gave up.
Maybe this is what will bring some fans back to marvel.

When it was said in the Justice League film that there would be a flashback scene where Steppenwolf & parademons faced off against Knights, Amazons, & Atlantians years ago; I thought it was stupid.

Then Marvel goes "hold my beer" and brings on a comic event where apparently Avengers existed a million years ago. Watch this story have an A sketched in a cave somewhere lol

Perhaps where they found Cap's frozen body, it was in a cave with a giant A carved in

@LEVITIKUZ - my bad. Not a million but 100,000 years ago

@LEVITIKUZ
But at least in the DCU it makes sense, since everything is already well established.
But here they're only jerking off to that "Legacy" concept, which was never their forte to begin with, that's why they created these characters purposely for this event.
Not to mention the new stuff with Generations.
Cho as Hulk? Jane Foster as Thor?
All this was achieved like...yesterday, that's why it feels forced as f*ck.
Well, not for every character, but still...

But hey, it's written by Aaron, so at the very least it'll be a good comic + Ribic, so...

@Doomsday8888 - The ChoHulk, Jane Thor, FalCap, Kamala Khan, Ironheart...I really don't like any of it. Gimme the classics.

Plus, I hate them calling Jane "Thor". It's NOT a title or codename, like Captain America; it's his birth name. They didn't start calling Sam Wilson "Steve Rogers".

Omegacron

I'm pretty sure they got the concept from "X-Men: Schism". That arc depicted the X-Men as cavemen-era savages choosing to follow either the Wolf (Wolverine) or the Bear (Cyclops). In fact, the Black Panther concept seems to be a direct ripoff of Cyclops, who wore the head & fur of a one-eyed bear.

@Omegacron - which was written by Jason Aaron as well...
Asturgis

@Omegacron - Colossus makes more sense as a bear. Cyclops would be a weasel, or a rat. Not saying I don't like the guy, but… I don't like the guy.
