Marvel Legacy is coming our way this September from Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic and it looks set to essentially offer a DC Rebirth style reboot/relaunch of the Marvel Universe. However, it also sounds like we should expect the 50-page comic book to rewrite this world's history as it's been revealed today that we're going to end up meeting a brand new team of Avengers; the very first group of them, in fact!
Taking us back to 1,000,000 BC, we'll get to meet iconic torch-bearers such as Odin, Iron Fist, Star Brand, Ghost Rider, Phoenix, Agamotto, and Black Panther to learn about the Marvel Universe's origin.
Marvel Legacy will reportedly bring our favourite characters together for exciting and epic new stories that will culminate in returning to original series numbering for long-running titles. "Marvel Legacy #1 isn’t simply a history lesson," says SVP and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort. "Rather, it’s the starting gun to a bevy of mysteries and secrets and revelations that will reverberate across the Marvel Universe in the weeks and months to come! Marvel Legacy is going to feature appearances from almost every Marvel hero and it all leads to the return of a major Marvel icon in a shocking reveal that will leave fans speechless! Who? We'll see.
