Earlier this week, the Spider-Verse as we know it was transformed; Edge of Spider-Verse #1 marked the beginning of a new era of Spider-Verse storytelling with a new status quo for Araña, the roaring debut of Spider-Rex, and more.

Things are only just getting started as each issue of this new limited series will contain more thrilling additions to the Spider-Verse mythos in the form of new heroes, fresh journeys for iconic favourites, and the rise of a dark threat that could end the Spider-Verse for good. The series will also serve as the foundation for Dan Slott’s next Spidey epic, beginning in October’s Spider-Man #1.

Now, Marvel Comics has revealed what we can expect from next month's Edge of Spider-Verse #3:

  • What if Felicia Hardy became a Spider-hero? Dan Slott teams up with artist Sumeyye Kesgin to answer that question with the debut of super thief Night-Spider! You can check out her sleek look, designed by artist superstar artist Kris Anka, in a special design variant cover below.
  • Introduced in the hit Deadpool: Samurai manga and fresh off her recent appearance in Deadpool: Black, White, & Blood, Sakura-Spider strikes out on her own! Learn the origins of this breakout new hero in a story by her creators, Deadpool: Samurai creative team Sanshiro Kasama and Hikaru Uesugi!
  • Author Nikesh Shukla makes his Marvel Comics debut alongside a squad of the best artists in the business including Mark Bagley, Paco Medina, David Baldeón, Gerardo Sandoval and Abhishek Malsuni with the return of fan-favourite hero Pavitr Prabhakar, AKA Spider-Man: India.

We're certainly intrigued to see where this series is taking us, and it's always fun to spend time with Spider-Man Variants like the ones who will appear in this issue.

Edge of Spider-Verse #3 will include artwork from Sumeyye Kesgin, Hikaru Uesugi, Abhishek Malsuni, Mark Bagley, Paco Medina, David Baldeon, and Gerardo Sandoval. The main cover is by Josemaria Casanovas, while Kris Anka illustrated the variant cover.

Looks like they’re finding a way to see a version of What If anybody became Spider-Man. Have you ever gone that route with Uncle Ben? If not, I’d love to see how he handled the great power and great responsibility.

@Reeds2Much - I’m not surprised. My actual comic book reading days are long behind me, and I was never that into alternate versions anyway.

tired garbage. thats all they do these day, pointless short-lived ''reinventions''. cuz its so much easier to parade a new design for a few months (and then quickly move on to the next one) than actually write a decent new character.

I like the name and the look. Always wanted to see Felicia and Peter get together as an actual couple for at least a little while.
