Secret Empire #4 hit stands today and while it wasn't quite as momentous as previous instalments, it featured a lot of twists and turns. For starters, we learned that The Punisher is more than happy to help Hydra providing he reports to Steve Rogers, while the truth about some of the members of Captain America's team of Avengers has also been revealed. Scarlet Witch is serving Hydra because she's been possessed by the chaos demon Chthon, while The Vision has been infected by nanites.

Interestingly, the original Thor (a.k.a. Odinson) simply thinks he's doing what's right for Asgard.

Hank Pym/Ultron also intervened in the fight between the two teams as they race to retrieve the shards of a Cosmic Cube - Namor has already given his piece to Steve as Atlantis as formed an alliance with Hydra - and it's revealed that Iron Man's group doesn't stand a chance as Cap has someone on the inside! Who? The possibilities are Hawkeye, Quicksilver, Mockingbird, Falcon, Hercules, and Ant-Man.

What did you guys think of Secret Empire #4? Feel free to share your thoughts in the usual place...

@BillyCipher - Thor might have a greater purpose than we see. What if Steve offered him a cure for Jane?

Also punisher. I mean that guy has litterly betrayed people to kill the bad guys over anything. Doesent really seem like someone who believes in the greater good. Or the far off good in anycase.

I really dont get all the hate for the current marvel comics. Sure, there are alot of bad ones but there are some good ones in there too. Unworthy Thor is great for example

@MeAreLegend - Well, you answered your own question, most of the comics are bad, with bad replacements, characterization, pandering real-world leftist agendas and bad writing by people who are new to comics (or have no interest in them). Marvel is giving plenty of reason to hate them, and they're not fixing any of their problems

I'm not sure why every month we get an article about Secret Empire's newest issue. Apart from that Batman article a month back, it seems like every issue of Secret Empire gets an article, and no other comic does. Why this one of all things, I genuinely wonder. I would barely put it in my top 20, let alone first.

@BlackBeltJones - Ah, fear itself needs a film.
