With the Hollywood strikes now over, work has finally resumed on Deadpool 3. That's resulted in a fresh round of set photos, and while Ryan Reynolds is understandably upset, we know many of you are keen to learn as much about this movie as possible.

We've now combed through an entire week's worth of set photos to bring you an in-depth breakdown of all the biggest moments, reveals, and cameos in a sequence which will seemingly take us back into The Void.

Something tells us this barely scratches the surface of what's to come in Deadpool 3, but that doesn't mean the latest images from the threequel's set haven't offered a much clearer idea of what to expect from the Merc with the Mouth's team-up with Wolverine.

Read through our breakdown by clicking on the "Next" button below but, be warned, SPOILERS follow!

6. The Fantasticar

There were rumblings a while ago that the Fantastic Four from Fox's 2005 and 2007 movies would appear in Deadpool 3, but do these latest photos confirm those claims?

This version of the Fantasticar isn't the same one we saw in those movies; instead, it's more in line with the comic books. The "4" logo is front and centre, though we're unsure whether those wheels are a permanent addition to the vehicle or something Marvel Studios will remove in post-production. Either way, this begs the question: what happened to Marvel's First Family? We'll have to wait and see.

Designed by Reed Richards, the Fantasticar is a versatile aircraft with modular components, allowing it to split into individual flying pods. An iconic mode of transportation used by the Fantastic Four on their adventures, to see this version on screen really is going to be something special.

5. Wolverine vs. Sabretooth

maxresdefault-1

Yes, Sabretooth has returned. However, it's probably not the Variant many of you will have hoped to see in the movie. Rather than X-Men Origins: Wolverine star Liev Schreiber's take on the ferocious mutant, it seems X-Men's Tyler Mane is back and angling for a rematch with Logan.

The two old foes can be seen squaring off in these latest photos and, when all is said and done, we know Sabretooth loses his head. That appears to come courtesy of Wolverine's claws, though Deadpool has been spotted holding up the villain's head as an apparent warning to any other potential attackers.

It's a big sequence to have leaked in advance, but one we're now more excited than ever to see play out in its entirety.

4. The Void

Void-Cameos-4-copy

Where is all this happening? Well, we can't say for sure, but it looks very much like The Void. Loki established that as a desolate and otherworldly realm at the end of time which serves as a dumping ground for pruned timelines guarded by the monstrous Alioth.

Loki and Sylvie managed to incapacitate the beast, though we later saw it come face-to-face with Judge Renslayer; if Marvel Studios follows the comic books, then we'd bet on her having tamed the creature, leaving The Void to fill up with Variants and artefacts from pruned timelines. That would explain the 20th Century Fox logo and everything else we've talked about thus far.

Deadpool and Wolverine are presumably here after being pruned, and while this may be a post-apocalyptic Earth, The Void still seems far more likely.

3. Some Familiar Vehicles

Red-skull-coupe-copy

The Fantasticar isn't the only vehicle that jumped out at us in Deadpool 3's latest set photos. There's a modified version of the cupcake van a confused Steven Grant drives in Moon Knight, along with a hot rod-inspired take on the Red Skull's imposing car from Captain America: The First Avenger

Both have been changed in an apparent effort to make them better fit into The Void, and we're getting a real Mad Max-inspired feel from these scenes.

Sabretooth, meanwhile, is shown aboard a chariot-like tank which is being led by motorcycles (one of which we're sure was used by Steve Rogers during World War II). One even seems to be pulling a cage of some sort, so we reckon these stranded baddies are up to something more than just wanting to kill Wolverine and Deadpool.

2. The TVA Returns

There have been rumblings for a while now that the Time Variance Authority will be a crucial part of Deadpool 3 and that's been confirmed by the presence of one of their agents on the threequel's set.

This isn't an actor we recognise, and while there were once rumours about Owen Wilson's Mobius showing up, we now believe his role will be filled by Matthew Macfadyen's Paradox. Could rumours the TVA is trying to recruit an army be true or do Wade Wilson's time-travel antics in Deadpool 2 simply catch up with him?

It's hard to say, particularly as Loki's recent actions should have brought an end to timelines being pruned. Marvel Studios will need to be careful here not to contradict itself or make the Multiverse any more confusing than it already is.

1. More Familiar Foes

188548-114672-toad-copy

Yes, that is indeed X-Men's Toad! After they were both dealt with in the 2000 movie, it seems their alliance has continued in The Void; what we can't say for sure right now is whether that's Ray Park will reprise the role (some online controversy surrounding the actor could lead to a recast).

Fans also believe Logan villain Donald Pierce was on hand, and even though these cameos are fun, is it wrong to feel a tad underwhelmed? Yes and no. For starters, this is just one scene in the movie and we're sure there are going to be plenty of other high-profile cameos throughout both Deadpool 3's story and this visit to The Void.

Many of the actors appear to be playing generic survivors, so we're not currently anticipating this particular sequence being as star-studded as the Scarlet Witch's clash with The Illuminati in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness!

@Fogs - I'll never forget just after Deadpool 2 came out - maybe a week or two after it came to theatres, I still hadn't seen it. Some headline "Here's how [SPOILERS] cameo was possible" with a gigantic photo of Juggernaut right up front lol like get real.

@foreverintheway - Well that's how Josh Operates. i was a avid viewer of this site since 2015 and there's some serious in your face spoiler article about a character will show up in most of my anticipated movies back then.

@Gabimaru - I don't even care a lot on being spoiled (with the exception of endgame, perhaps) but yeah, I've been around for a while too and I have the impression the clickbaiting is becoming worse and worse.

NGL, They are begging for it and I kinda like it - did they learn something from No Way Home? Is that even possible?

You'll have to make a movie like this 30 times to turn a profit, nostalgia will only get you so far. This isn't Disney righting the ship at sea, it's pure desperation. I'll see it once, lazy ass filmmakers

What was the last surprise we got while actually sitting in a movie theater that wasn’t mentioned in a Reddit post? Nowadays the whole script is on the internet before the movies first teaser trailer.

@WruceBayne - Iron Man dying and Cap going to the past. Not only didn't that leak, it wasn't even predicted. So to answer your question: close to 5 years

WruceBayne - 12/6/2023, 5:22 PM
@bkmeijer1 - I had heard that there were two versions of that scene, one where Iron Man dies and one where Cap sacrificed himself before the actual movie dropped

@WruceBayne - the latter one definitely had the most traction, but what we ended up getting worked better. Had not expected it

@Scarilian - maybe we'll get a death race in the Void with Deadpool and Wolverine? Think that'd be fun

@bkmeijer1 -
It's more of a battle scene judging from filming, where all the X-Men characters randomly have vehicles.

@Scarilian - true. Guess they're just going all in on references

@bkmeijer1 -
Yeah, would not be surprised if it's just Endgame's portal scene with empty cameos and vehicles. Then Secret Wars will be the same, but it'll be with everything from Phase 1-6 and a bunch of prior stuff and multiverse doubles also.
