There's a great deal of intrigue surrounding Deadpool 3, no great surprise considering the fact the threequel is shrouded in secrecy. We've seen some incredibly intriguing set photos along with a seemingly endless stream of rumours about the characters who may or may not appear.
Now, scooper @CanWeGetToast has shared a supposed synopsis for the Merc with the Mouth's MCU which sheds new light on where we find the character in this movie.
"After facing some professional setbacks while going through a midlife crisis," it reads, "Wade Wilson decides to officially retire Deadpool and becomes a used car salesman."
"But when his friends, family, and the whole world are at stake, Deadpool decides to bring his katanas out of retirement," the synopsis continues. "He recruits an unwilling and wary Wolverine to not only fight for their survival, but ultimately, their legacy."
We've heard Wade gets plucked from his reality by the TVA fairly early on in this adventure, and it would be ironic for him to retire after all those time-travel shenanigans only to then be held accountable for his actions. Perhaps Deadpool just isn't supposed to get a happy ending?
As for his dynamic with Wolverine, we're not exactly shocked to learn the clawed mutant is an "unwilling and wary" partner! As for the heroes fighting to protect their legacy, we'd assume that's an allusion to their quest to remain in existence after being sent into The Void!

Alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool franchise vets Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio), and Rob Delaney (Peter) are all confirmed to return in Deadpool 3.
Emma Corrin is expected to play Cassandra Nova, while Matthew Macfadyen will likely take on the role of a TVA agent named Paradox. It's also been confirmed that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra, with Wesley Snipes, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Dafne Keen, and even singer Taylor Swift among those rumoured to appear.
