DEADPOOL 3: Speculation Mounts X-MEN Star Halle Berry Will Return As Storm In Upcoming Threequel

A new photo shared by Halle Berry on social media has led to speculation about the actress possibly reprising the role of Storm in Deadpool 3. The evidence is certainly compelling, and you can see it here...

Deadpool 3 has either begun production or is about to (depending on who you believe), but speculation is running rampant that another member of the X-Men has boarded the Marvel Studios threequel.

While a number of familiar faces from the Deadpool franchise will return, such as Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, the fact Hugh Jackman is back as Wolverine has generated perhaps the most excitement among fans. It's become apparent we're heading back to the X-Men Universe, but does that mean Halle Berry's Storm is being lined up for a cameo appearance?

The actress recently took to Twitter to share a photo with her followers and it didn't take them long to notice her silver-coloured hair.

There's nothing to say Berry's change in appearance is definitely for Deadpool 3, but the timing is certainly coincidental and this wouldn't be the first time someone's haircut has given away details about a superhero movie!

It would be very strange for only Wolverine to be part of the movie, especially if we're going to spend a significant amount of time in the X-Men's reality.

While the expectation is that the Merc with the Mouth and Logan will head off on a Multiversal road trip that at least brings Wade Wilson into the MCU, we're sure Kevin Feige would love to bring back some of the actors he first worked with in the early 2000s. The Marvel Studios President started his career helping to shape that franchise, likely explaining why Jackman is reprising his most famous role.

Cameras are set to roll in the UK imminently, so we can only hope that set photos begin finding their way online soon.

Deadpool 3 is set to be released in theaters on November 8, 2024.

Would be very cool if Berry, Marsden and Janssen all reprised their roles in some epic battle ending with Deadpool getting trapped in the MCU for good.

@tylerzero @TheyDont - I assume he's just pointing out the fact that she was...almost uncomfortably attractive, I'm talking Goldeneye, and so it's hard to reconcile. I'd say Liz Hurley has aged pretty well though. Literal Morgan La Fey.

@ChrisRed - Totally. I hope Ryan gives us a proper scene with all of them in like X 97' mode doing work ahead of Secret Wars or the Marvel reboot.

Honestly don’t want this to tie into the MCU at all, provide a franchise capper for the entire X-Men universe and start fresh in the MCU.

CorndogBurglar - 5/25/2023, 7:21 AM
@Blergh - It seems weird. The only reason I can see them wanting to tie this Deadpool into the MCU is so he can make jokes about the differences between the MCU and Fox-Verse.

Because the MCU would already have their version of Wade Wilson. They could even keep Ryan Reynolds if they wanted. The only difference is he wouldn't have his experiences from the Fox-Verse to make fun of.

So I wonder how they'll explain 2 Deadpools in the MCU. Will the MCU Wade never get cancer and turn into Deadpool? Will he be some other stupid version like the mouthless one in Fox? Will they even mention him at all?

CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 5/25/2023, 7:22 AM
@Blergh - But I agree. Aside from Deadpool I don't think any other characters should permanently cross into the MCU.

@CorndogBurglar - I think we’ll just assume the other Wade never gets cancer or maybe Deadpool kills him when he arrives
Tasmaniac
Tasmaniac - 5/25/2023, 9:35 AM
@CorndogBurglar - Probably more likely that the cancer killed the MCU Wade.
ptick
ptick - 5/25/2023, 1:12 PM
@Tasmaniac - It's already been established that someone doesn't have to exist in every universe (see Billy and Tommy). So, they probably won't ever even address whether or not there is a pre-existing Wade in the main MCU, though I do admit they would likely find a hilarious way to do it if they chose to.
cocaegelo
cocaegelo - 5/25/2023, 2:06 PM
@CorndogBurglar - They could adapt the "616 Wade" into "Evil Deadpool" (that one dude made of parts of Deadpool that became a villain-deadpool with two right arms) and make the fox-verse deadpool as the "main deadpool". Or the inverse, or something like this.

So sick of the Fox verse. 20 years of this mess. Hugh coming back is a mistake and just holding us back from new versions/moving on even more.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 5/25/2023, 7:15 AM
@Kurne - How is Hugh coming back holding us back from a new version? They are obviously set in their Multiverse story and we're likely not getting a new X-Men movie until after that. Regardless of Deadpool 3.

And if they really wanted to introduce an MCU version of Wolverine before the Multiverse Saga ends they could still that. They are variants. We've already seen variants of other characters. There's zero reason why they couldn't introduce an MCU Wolverine even with this movie coming out.

Basically, it isn't slowing anything down if they never had any plans to introduce an MCU Wolverine in the near future to begin with.

@Kurne - dude, people still appreciate PRE MCU films, can you let us take advantage of having them re appear for one last ride ?
Blergh
Blergh - 5/25/2023, 11:21 AM
@Kurne - love or hate it but the FOX universe deserves respect for relaunching the hype wave we’re still riding.

I’ve got a pretty torn relationship with the FoX universe myself (almost every second movie is bad, the prequel movies completely turn into a fan fiction mess etc) but in the end these movies matter a lot.

One last movie to wrap this franchise up is what it deserves after Dark Phoenix being such trash

First of all, this doesn't really look like Storm's hair. You can see her black hair underneath the white. Storm's hair wouldn't do that because it's naturally white.

More Halle Berry is always a good thing. I wouldn't mind Marsden and Famke Janssen returning too as someone up top said, but maybe they're saving those big reunions for Secret Wars. Deadpool 3 seems like a fitting place for it too, I guess.

tylerzero

Okay, if this movie's going to play in the Multiverse, they need to "John Krasinski" Angela Bassett into it as she should've been Storm from the get go.

ObserverIO

@ElvenKingSlayer - And she's literally holding a cat. Maybe she's teasing a cameo in The Flash. That Catwoman movie was Burtonverse.
ElvenKingSlayer
ElvenKingSlayer - 5/27/2023, 9:33 AM
@ObserverIO - I didn't know it was part of the Burtonverse! One could also say the Nic Cage Superman is Burtonverse?
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 5/27/2023, 11:48 AM
@ElvenKingSlayer - Yep, there's a Michelle Pfieffer Catwoman easter egg as one of the previous Catwomen.

I guess there are many versions of the Burtonverse now. The comics just introduced a universe in which Batman and Batman Returns share continuity with Christopher Reeve's Superman (Earth 789).
Then there's the Birds of Prey TV series that featured footage and costumes from the Burtonverse.

In the Flash movie's version (the Flashpoint Burtonverse if you will) the Schumacher films are no longer considered canon. So who knows if Catwoman or Birds of Prey will. But maybe, since both of them directly reference Batman and Batman Returns, but the Schumacher films only really connect through the actor playing Alfred.

Obviously the Nic Cage Superman is replaced with the Sasha Calle Supergirl in the Flashpoint Burtonverse, but that's not to say that it isn't another version of the Burtonverse.

I'd like to think so. I think there's a universe out there in which Batman, Batman Returns and the now defunct Superman Lives (and even the other films in Burton's catalogue) all share continuity.

Um…. There’s a DC multiverse movie coming out that has odd prior castings in it, she played a Catwoman called Patience Phillips, she’s photoed herself holding at cat and typed “Patience takes practice” with a wink.

Conclusion: She must be playing Storm!
