Following a brief teaser back in May, Disney-Pixar has released the full trailer for Onward, which comes across like a somewhat bizarre mashup of Duncan Jones' Bright and Weekend at Bernie's.

The trailer introduces us to pair of elf brothers voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt, who attempt to resurrect their late father for one day when he leaves the younger of the two a magic staff for his 16th birthday. Unfortunately, they only succeed in bringing the lower half back, and must embark on a quest to finish the spell before it's too late.

Written and directed by Dan Scanlon (Brave, Cars), Onward also features the voice talents of Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld), Octavia Spencer (The Shape of Water) and John Ratzenberger (Toy Story.) Check out the trailer below along with a new poster, and let know what you think.

Set in a suburban fantasy world, two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, go on a journey to discover if there is still a little magic left out there in order to spend one last day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.

Onward is set to hit theaters on March 6, 2020.

Pixar's formula is great. They take a noun, and give it feelings.

Monsters Inc was monsters with feelings.

Cars were automobiles with feelings.

Inside Out was feelings with... Feelings.

And these are elves with feelings.

I want some of the drugs that the creators of this were on... This concept is ridiculous.

I can't wait to see it in theaters.
