THR report that Nyong'o and Johansson are in negotiations to provide the voices for a couple of major characters in director Jon Favreau's live-action/CG hybrid take on the classic Disney tale.
Scarlett Johansson and Lupita Nyong’o are talks to join Idris Elba in Disney's live-action/CG hybrid version of The Jungle Book, which has Iron Man director Jon Favreau at the helm. Apparently Nyong’o is in final negotiations to play 'Rakcha', Mowgli's wolf-mother, while Johansson is in earlier talks to voice 'Kaa' the python. Elba will play the main villain, the tiger 'Shere Khan', with the lead human role of 'Mowgli' and his pals 'Baloo' the bear and 'Bagheera' the panther still to be cast.
