THOR's Kenneth Branagh Being Lined Up To Helm CINDERELLA For Disney
Disney recently parted ways with One Hour Photo's Mark Romanek on Cinderella. Well, with Cate Blanchett still attached to star, Thor's Kenneth Branagh is now in talks to direct.
Vulture reports that Kenneth Branagh is in negotiations to direct Disney's planned remake of Cinderella after original director Mark Romanek dropped out earlier this month. The plan is for the film to start shooting this Fall in London. According to the site, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey's Cate Blanchett is STILL attached to play the wicked stepmother, although the hunt for Cinderella continues. It's thought that the film is being lined up for a 2014 release, although that may end up hinging on whether or not the Jack Ryan helmer ends up accepting the gig!
